A/N: Ok, this is a VERY sad and short songfic. The only thing I have to say before it starts is... don't hate me! Ok, so now that that's done, on with the story: )

Disclaimer: I don't own the show, or the song "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. Yay disclaimers! Anyway...

She never truly knew what it was to love.

All our times have come here

but now they're gone

Sure, she'd written songs about it, about happiness and pain, about loving someone and them loving you back, but she never really knew. She had longed for it so many nights, wondering what it would be like to have him. She knew he wondered the same thing, and hoped that would be enough to bring them together. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Seasons don't fear the reaper

Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain

we can be like they are

You see, she died a few years ago, at a young age of 17. She hadn't known of the sickness that plagued her body until it was too late. She was killed by it on a late October night, laying in the cold hospital bed all alone.

Come on baby... Don't fear the reaper

Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper

We'll be able to fly...Don't fear the reaper

Baby i'm your man...

She should've known what it was like to be loved. She saw him weeping over the slab of stone that trapped the hollow shell that had once been her body. She was free of it now. Free of the pain, free of everything. She heard him talking to the engravement on the stone as if it were her sitting in front of him instead of a marker for her untimely prison. "Jude, I know it's too late and I really should've told you this, but I love you. I've always loved you. Ever since the day you came into my life. I just--can't believe you're really dead."

Valentine is done

Here but now they're gone

Jude sat next to him, giving him a look of pure sympathy. She wanted to wrap her arms around him and tell him everything was gonna be ok, and that it didn't hurt anymore. She knew she couldn't. She just sat next to her tomb and watched as Kwest took him away, and waited for the day he came back to her. One day, he finally did.

Romeo and Juliet

Are together in eternity...

Romeo and Juliet

She was sitting next to her grave miserably when he came to her and held her in his arms, never wanting to let go. When she asking him what he was doing there, he simply smiled and said,"I came to see you," and explained a story about failed recovery, alcohol and gunshots, and simply of wanting to see her face again. "I love you, girl." She smiled up at him.

"I love you too." I love you too, The phrse rang in her head. Suddenly, all she could think was, maybe she did truly know what it was to love, after all.

The End

A/N: Please, please, PLEASE, R&R! I NEED feedback to keep me going.
