Ed and Al trudged through the rain towards the train station heading for Central. Thunder crackled and rumbled through the clouds as lighting flashed. Ed was too deep in thought to realize that there was a puddle of rain in front of him. He lost his balance, slipped, and ended up on the ground. He winced as a wave of pain came from his right ankle.
"Brother? Are you OK?" Al asked, his voice filled with worry as it ringed through his empty shell. As soon as he laid eyes on the position of Ed's ankle, he gasped and leaned over.
"It's almost twisted to the other sideā¦" He observed. "Can you put any weight on it?" Ed stood up and as soon as he put the slightest bit of weight on his leg an extreme wave of pain came, and he shook his head, gritting his teeth.
"I'm going to need some kind of support for this situation." Ed moaned.
"We don't want the risk of you slipping again and busting your auto-mail, Ed." Al remarked. "I can carry you if my armor doesn't scratch." Al scooped up Ed in his arms to Ed's surprise. The metal armor walked through the rain, approaching the train station in which they had longed to arrive to. To the armor's surprise, Ed had fallen asleep I his arms. Al had approached the train station, and as he boarded the train, Ed awoke to feel that the patter of rain against his skin had disappeared.
"You're awake?" Al said, looking down at Ed. Ed nodded his head sleepily. Al approached a seat, and gently laid down his older brother on the other seat, careful not to harm his already twisted ankle.
"Thanks, Al." Ed said, looking over at his younger brother.
"It wasn't any trouble." Al replied kindly. After a short period, Ed had fallen asleep.
"Hope your ankle gets better." Al said under his breath, looking at his older brother. Next stop, the Central infirmary.
What did you think? Not too bad, eh?
