CHAPTER 10
RESTORING ORDER
The light blue hedgehog eyed the two demons. He looked at them with a glare, "You're planning to open the gates of hell and I won't allow it."
"I don't care how bad you are, you won't interfere", Dark knew he was going to lose, but he had to take the risk. He looked over at Shadow, "Shadow, if something bad happens to me I'm depending on you to finish the job."
Shadow nodded.
Dark charged at Nazo while swinging his claws at him.
Nazo was dodging his attacks easily because all Dark cared about was killing him in a matter of seconds.
Dark had stopped swinging his claws around and that was Nazo's opportunity to strike. He took his glowing fist and punched Dark in a great distance across the room towards the wall. He walked towards him while he was down. He held out his right hand and a bright light blue color came from it aiming at Dark's head. "End of the line, Dark. Chaos Inferno!" A blue blast came from Nazo's hand and struck at Dark's head. He was dead, but Nazo knew he would return again someday. He turned and found Shadow behind him ready to fight. Nazo didn't want to fight his own father so instead he tried to make peace with him. "Dad, no don't do it."
"Why not? You killed Lord Dark and you're going to pay", All Shadow cared about at the moment was revenge.
"This isn't the way. Dark just used you to open the gates of hell."
"And I'll do it for him."
"I don't think so. Dad, please you have to fight Dark's control. You can fight it, I know it."
Shadow stood there for a while trying to think things out, "Spike."
Nazo smiled, "Dad."
Shadow fell on the floor unconscious while he was changing back to himself again.
As Nazo continued to smile, he changed back to his baby self again. He sat there on the floor sucking his thumb looking innocent.
Rouge ran to him and hugged him, "Spike, you are amazing."
Despite he was a baby again he couldn't understand what she was saying.
Vector noticed Shadow was unconscious and wasn't able to go anywhere. He took off his coat, wrapped it around his naked body and held him in his arms. He smirked to the group, "Looks like this case is closed."
"That means we can go home right?" Espio did feel tired after all the action.
Vector nodded, "Home, sounds good to me."
When they began to walk out of the base Rouge was smiling down at Spike in her arms, "Looks like Shadow and I raised a little miracle."
Spike yawned of tiredness and slowly closed his eyes going to sleep.
