Yo what'z up! I'm back once more with a Thanksgiving special. I hope you enjoy!
Don't own shit! (Well I own this story I guess)
R&R
'My Boyfriend is Weird.' Was the thought that rushed through the pigtailed girls head as she watched a raven black a haired boy stammer trying to get lunch. He excelled in most things, be it sports or grades 'With her help!' She quickly added to her thoughts, she helps him study all the time probably the main reason he even has decent scores. BUT When it came to forced social interaction. "Totally hopeless..." She muttered under her breath. It perplexed her, he was good at making friends, he actually had quite a lot. 'I guess he only likes talking when its on his terms.' Before she could think more about the boy she heard something that pierced her thoughts.
"May!" The boy of her thoughts called out to her with a wave. He was making his way back to the table that they had claimed as theirs at the beginning of the school year, He sat down in the chair next to her and let out a breath that he seemed to have held in.
"Was it that hard to talk to the lunch lady?"
"Yes. It was very hard." He replayed not looking at her, he was mostly looking up to the ceiling.
"You're so weird Ash." She insulted him but a warm smile creped onto her face. The boy noticed said smile and returned with one that always made her heart skip. That WARM, CARING Smile was so beautiful even if thinks it's just "A normal smile."
May was now just staring at him with grin that the boy in front of her couldn't understand. So he asked. "What's up?" He didn't get a verbal answer, he instead got a quick kiss on the lips and his face turned as red as his ketchup for his fries he fought with the lunch lady to get. When she pulled her lips off of his but held onto his cheek, she had a loving smile and a blush so deep that a strawberry would be jealous of the color.
The two just stared at each other soaking in the teenage romance until a thought ran through the girls mind. "What are you doing for Thanksgiving?" She quickly covered her mouth and was now blushing for a new reason. She didn't mean to say that out loud, it was just a passing thought! But now Ash was looking at her with questioning eyes. May couldn't resist those eyes! So she looked away, but it didn't work. He moved so his eyes meet hers, she gave up and fessed up "Are you doing anything for Thanksgiving? Like going back to Kanto or something." Ash was actually not from where they are, which is Hoenn. No, he is from Kanto but moved here because... Be...cause... SHE HAD NO IDEA! May had never thought to ask! He knew almost everything about her, but she knew pretty little about him before coming to Hoenn.
As the girl in front of him was having a mental breakdown he answered her question. "Nah. I don't think I'm going anywhere." His words pulled May out of her head and looked at him funny. "W-What?" Her gaze making him uncomfortable he stuttered and starting shifting in his chair.
May stopped with her staring noticing her boyfriends nervousness "So you're not going to see your family?" This question, that she thought was pretty harmless made the boy look down saddened. "W-What's wrong?" She quickly asked mentally cursing herself for making him sad.
"I... Never told you why I left Kanto, Did I?" She slowing shook her head "Well... I don't have a family there anymore..." He paused letting out sigh "My moms dead, I never knew my father and I'm an only child." He looked back up to meet her eyes. "So yeah. No one to really spend Thanksgiving with."
He clearly didn't enjoy talking about that and she hated herself for making his talk about it. But another passing thought entered her mind "Wanna spent it with me?" She didn't mean to say that out loud but instead of covering big mouth she stood firm and looked right into his now wide eyes. "Did I hear you right?" He questioned. She will say it again so both him and her knew they said what they thought.
"Wanna spend it with me?"
It was now Thanksgiving day and Ash was sitting on the edge of his bed just staring at the door that acted as the entrance to his school dorm. The school dorm was there but not to many people actually lived in them it was mostly occupied by delinquents, sent away by their parents because of something they did. Sometimes it made since, like yeah blowing up a school toilet is wrong makes since they're here, but falling behind on grades? Nah that's to far, well to Ash anyway. He looked over to his right to see a messy bed reminding himself that his roommate was such a delinquent, his parents wanted him to be an all A student but he got a B on his math test and he was sent to live in this dorm. Ash briefly knew the boy before becoming dormmates, he always was studying blowing off his friends so he could study. Ash felt bad for him.
"Damn!" The door opened but was quickly slammed shut to reveal a shivering teen boy "It's cold out there!" Ash just watched the purple haired teen run to grab the blanket on his messy bed. "Yo Ash." His name pulled our hero out of his trance and looked up to meet the eyes of his roommate "If you go out there, be careful." The teen fell onto his bed his hair getting into his eyes. Ash slightly laughed at the boy "Thanks Paul, I'll keep that in mind." Yes this was the delinquent he was talking about, Paul Shinji.
At first Ash lived in this dorm by himself, ALL TO HIMSELF! It was pretty lonely... When he found out he was getting a roommate he was happy, but Paul and Ash didn't get along at first but once he helped Paul with his family Ash gained him as a friend. Paul could go back and live with his parents but in own words "It's more fun here." Ash smiled at the simple reasoning behind him staying.
"So dude?" Paul once again pulled him out of his thoughts, Ash looked up to see that he was on his phone, hair now out of his eyes. knowing he had Ash's attention he continued "Any plans for today?" not looking up from his phone as he asked. Ash's eyes showed confusion, not understanding why his friend had an interest in what HE was doing. He quickly deflected the question back at him "W-What your plans?" Paul looked at him with knowing eyes but answered him "Going over to my parents in a hour."
"I see..." Ash simply said looking down to his watch to see the time, his eyes went wide seeing that he to was leaving in a hour. "Let me guess." Paul pulled his out of his head again, he was good at that! "You're going over to May's" Paul smirked at him, without thinking Ash blurted out "How do you know that?!"
"So I got it right?!" Paul started laughing at him but ceased when he sat up to the edge of his bed. "I guess I shouldn't laugh, It not like I have a girl." Paul let out sigh but a smile was still at the side of his mouth. "Whatever dude..." Ash muttered not knowing a better come back.
"Just remember that her parents are going to be there, so nothing to steamy." Paul teased.
"Just shut up!" Ash blushed at the tease.
"Well even so, It doesn't kill to bring protection."
"THAT'S IT!" Ash rushing to the bathroom connected to their room.
Ash left Paul to hold his side laughing like a mad man "Oh-OH My side!" Was the last thing he heard from his roommate before closing the door to the bathroom.
"Now let's get ready!"
May was smiling away stirring a pot of boiling potatoes. Why was she so happy? Well after she explained the situation her parents have allowed her boyfriend to spend dinner with them, she wasn't to concerned because the few times her mother and father had meet the boy, they liked him. "Hey sweetie," May's thoughts were put on hold once she heard her mothers voice and turn to meet her eyes. "Isn't Ash going to be here in about an hour?" May nodded answering her random question, but then she looked down to see she wasn't wearing the most modest clothes, In truth she wasn't wearing much at all. She had a red tank top on with very short sport shorts and she looked down to her top seeing that she wasn't wearing a... "I GOT TO GET READY!" She dashed out of the kitchen with a blush. "I swear that girl..." Her mother muttered.
May was now rummaging through her closest to find something she liked and... Ash liked. She blush about wanting to impress the boy, she shook the thoughts out of her head and went back to tearing up closest.
It was only natural that she wanted to impress him, She told herself.
She dug and searched until she smiled at the outfit in her hand. "This is perfect..." She mumbled holding up to body with slight blush.
Ash emerged from the bathroom with a new outfit, "Looking sharp." He heard Paul say with a nod. It took Ash half the hour he had to pick out the outfit he hoped it looked 'Sharp' Something confused Ash, "How come you're still wearing that?" He gestured to Paul's long dark purple trench coat and baggy black pants. "Well, unlike you I don't have anyone to impress. Unless I want to make the move on my mom or something." Ash cringed at Paul 'joke' if you want to even call it that!
Before Ash could tell him how bad the joke was he saw his roommate look down to his wristwatch and curse "Damn! I got to get going man." Before he could even ask what was up Paul leaped from his bed and bolted out the door franticly putting his boots on, Ash just watch in confusion until the door closed behind his friend, then he remembered something "That's right his parents live about 20 minutes away..." He muttered in the now empty room. He looked up to the clock on the wall to see that he had about 15 minutes before the arrival time, he let out a sigh and thought 'It's doesn't hurt to early.'
Ash was now standing in front of the Maple house holding a two sets of flowers, he looked to his right to see the roses he picked out for his girlfriend, the red flowers being her favorite, mostly stemming from her love for the color itself. Looking to his left he held daisy's which he found out from May, that they were her mothers favorite, hoping to impress her, he bought some for her. He was still early even after stopping at the flower stand, he was 5 minutes early. But he shrugged, 'how much of a difference could 5 minutes make?' He rang the doorbell and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Was he nervous? Yeah. But he was keeping his cool on the outside.
The door opened to reveal a little boy who Ash had met on rare moments like this. He was able to quickly tell it was May's little brother, Max. So he greeted with this knowledge "Hey Max." He smiled at the younger boy, which was returned with one from Max. "You're a little early..." Ash stiffen up "But how much could 5 minutes make?" Max smirked and let Ash in, He was relived that the boy had the same mind set as him. 5 minutes? Nothing.
BUT THE TWO BOYS WHERE WRONG!
As Ash walked into the door he saw a brown flash bolt past him, it looked like he was holding something... Before he could even recover the flash came back but this time was empty handed and stopped to look at Ash. Our hero was able to see that it was May's father, Norman Maple. He was a nice man from what Ash knew, He was really strong to, The ravened haired boy shiver at the thought of fighting him in anyway. "You're early." The father bluntly stated, Ash just nodded with a smile. Norman let out a deep sigh before talking again "We're kind of behind schedule." He rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. As if to save the father from further embarrassment, his wife and mother of May came out of the kitchen, Ash instantly knew who she was, Coraline Maple.
"We weren't expecting you until five..." The mother said with eyes that said sorry. Ash quickly threw his hands up and shook them as if to wave away the sorrowful eyes. "It's my fault for coming early!" Ash almost dropped his flowers with his frantic hand motions. The parents smiled at Ash thinking the same thing 'He really is a good kid.'
Ash remember that he had flowers not just for May, but for Coraline too! He quickly straightened himself up and held out the Daisy "These are for you, Mrs. Maple." He put on his fullest smile. It was a gift and an apology for catching them at a bad time. The women smiled back at the boy and gladly took the flowers. "Thank you Ash. Daisy's, my favorite."
"May told me you liked them, so I got some."
Norman started laughing "Damn! you're smooth kid!" The bigger man snaked his arm around Ash's shoulder "You got my daughter! What?! You want my wife too!" He continued to laugh his ass off, his hardy laugh was contagious soon Ash joined him is his fit of laughter, even Coraline slightly laughed with them, not because of the joke. But because seeing the two laugh together made her happy. She really liked Ash, she thought he was perfect for her daughter. Speaking off as the two men came down from their laughing fit they looked up to see what Ash would say 'An angel of earth.'
May came down the stairs that led up to her room in a elegant but cute outfit, She had a short white dress with a rose flower pattern and a red button down jacket, which was left unbuttoned exposing a modest amount of her cleavage, the jacket reached down to her hips covering some of her dress but leaving the frilly skirt fully visible, said skirt stopped just above her knees. She looked a little annoyed "Why are you being so loud?" Her eyes went wide when she saw Ash, May just thought it was her father being so loud. Ash looked nice too, He had a white button down dress shirt on, with a pull over black coat and a pair of nice dress pants. It was a simple outfit but still great!
Ash just stared at his girlfriend in trance, 'She looks beautiful!' Was the only thought in his head. She must have notice his staring because she turned bright red and held her left arm with her right hand, trying to cover herself in embarrassment. Ash was pulled out of his staring by Norman's laugh "If you stare so intently at her, you're going to burn a hole through her!" Ash pulled his eyes off of her to look away in embarrassment, trying to find something to look at. NOT MAY! His eyes keep falling onto her. He can't help it!
Before the family could talk more with the boyfriend, a gray heugh come through the room. "THE POTATOES!" Coraline dashing into the kitchen and May followed suit. Ash, curious about what happened to the potatoes, wondered into the kitchen as well. He was welcomed by a smoke and over boiled water, which was now all over the floor. "Ahhhh! Why.." May groaned mourning the loss of potatoes. Ash quickly came to the conclusion that they were trying to make mash potatoes, hence the boiling of the brown spud, he scanned the room and saw more of the vegetables sitting in a bag, he smiled and grabbed some and filled the pot up again with more water, all with a smile. The Maple family just watched the boy with confusion. 'Is he trying to make a new batch?' They all thought. They were freed from their confusion when he looked at them "Aren't you goin help?"
Dinner had come and pass, It was rather lively. It was all good, the Potatoes were very good. "Thanks for the help today Ash." Coraline was the first to thank the boy and the rest of the family followed suit with their own thanks. "It's no big deal." He gave them a bright smile. "But you were our guest, we should have been more prepared." The eldest man interjected. "It's fine, Really. It was kinda fun too." The family looked at Ash like he had three heads. 'Fun?' it was fun? Norman bursted out laughing again. "You really are a good kid!"
After that it was time to clean up but the mother and father duo insisted that they'd handle it. And now Ash was walking home with his girlfriend who all but demanded to walk him back to dorm. "You know, you didn't have to come with me." He looked to his side to see his girlfriend latching onto his arm, said girl now wore his jacket, claiming that 'Girls get cold easier!' Ash sighed at her reasoning but gave up and surrendered his coat.
The pair continued to walk through the snow in peaceful silence. A frown come onto Ash's face when he saw the dormitory meaning his peace was coming to an end. "Well here I am." The two stood in front the building. "Yeah?" May looked up to him with confusion, which in turn confused Ash. "So this is goodbye for today." She narrowed her eyes "You're not going to invite me in?" Ash mentally slapped himself 'IDIOT!'
"Of course! Come in."
Ash opened the door to his room and was welcomed by a shirtless Paul. "PAUL WHY ARE YOU SHIRTLESS!?" The boy in question turned around to see Ash covering May eyes and she was trying to squirm her way out of his hold. "Oh hey man." He greeted pulling a purple shirt over his head "Just got home, so I wanted to change." Ash gave May her sight back. "I get you, but why didn't you change in bathroom or I don't know, LOCK the door." Paul sighed at his roommate "Well I didn't know you were bring your lady friend over." May tilted her head at that claim "Does that mean... you see each other shirtless all the time?"
"NO!"
"YEAH!"
The two boy said at the same time. Ash was embarrassed and Paul just laughed. "Since the women in red is here..." Paul ceased his laughter "Should I leave?" He smirked. Ash didn't reply but May did "No... You're okay for today, Man in purple." Paul and May knew each other in passing, not really friends but more than just acquaintances. "Cool." Was all he said before falling onto his bed and pulling out his phone, trying to give the pair the most privacy he could with him still being in the room.
"Soooo..." Was all Ash could get out before May wrapped her body around his. "Whoa!" The two fell onto Ash's bed, May nuzzled into his chest and with a sigh of content she stopped once she was comfy. "Hey May..." She just hummed into his chest.
"I had a good Thanksgiving."
Well that's, that. Did you like it? I hope so... Well not much to say other than I hope you had or have a good thanksgiving. See yea around Friend of fanfiction!
