Authors Note: This takes place currently, yet Hyde has a sister Laura. Basically, I love seeing the softer side of guys who act like they're so tough. So, here's my attempt. Oh, and I don't own anything. I just borrow. k?

That '70s Show

"See, Steven is a Softie!"

My brother and I, well let's say there used to be happier times than what we're having now. Ever since he married his stripper wife, things haven't been the same. Because, now there were two girls that were always going to be in his life. Yeah..I mean there was Jackie, but everyone knew they would never last. So now this Sam character was going to be in his life forever, and I wouldn't be the only one, unless they got a divorce. Ha..already tried that. They got mad, and then had make-up sex. You can't win!

Maybe I was jealous, that I wouldn't be the only one Steven didn't look out for anymore. Nah, it wasn't like he ever looked out for me anyway. I mean, out of the twelve years I've been living, I don't really remember a time where he protected me or anything. Look, I'm getting all sentimental. Steven wouldn't like that, him and his zen ways.

So why did I care if Steven married some whore from Vegas? Maybe it's because he was starting a new chapter of his life, one which I wouldn't be a major part of. Oh look, here I go again. And..what! Is that a tear?

Crap. Too late. Mrs. Forman appeared at the door of my room, letting me know dinner was ready.

"Aw Laura, sweetie! You're crying! What's wrong?"

I loved Mrs. Forman. She cared the most out of anyone in that family.

"Nothing, I'm fine," I said, trying to push it off and get back my Junior-Zen image.

She laughed a nervous laugh, in that annoying tone of hers. That's what I loved about her. She cared, and if something was wrong, well she knew it. Which could also be annoying as hell.

"Fine, if you're going to make me tell you. It's just that.."

She took a seat next to me on my bed, which was really Laurie's old bed. I swear, I could still smell "whore" all over it.

"It's just that now, with this stripper that Steven married, I just feel like I'm totally left out in the dark, y'know? I mean, I know me and Steven never really bonded recently, but it's sort of reassuring to know that if I need someone to talk to, he's always there."

She laughed again.

"You really think you and Steven never bonded? Are you kidding me! When you two moved here, you were five or six. And he wanted to make sure that this move was the best for you. He was such a father figure to you, Laura. Really. Here, let me get out my photo album..I'll show you all of the times where Steven and you had quality times. That'll be sure to let you know that he cares about you."

And with that, she left. Forgetting about dinner, but set off to show me that maybe Steven wasn't such a bad brother anymore.
