Tohru always did try her best at school.

"Five pages on the Tales of Genji," said her Literature teacher, handing her two books, the textbook and the novel, "Have them week after next."

Tohru nodded and took the books.

"A ten page essay on Toyotomi Hideyoshi," said her History teacher, giving her ten reference books and placing Tohru's textbook back onto the desk, "Due next week."

Tohru's eyes bulged slightly, but she nodded and accepted the assignment all the same.

"A story written in Olde English, seventeen hundred words long," said her English teacher, passing out dictionaries, Shakespearian works, and textbooks to help them along, "Write them by the end of this week."

Tohru sweat-dropped but took the work, feeling slightly panicked. Her desk was kind of crowded.

"Write a theses on Einstein's Theory of Relativity, fifteen pages long," said her science teacher, giving them each several reference books and a new textbook, "Have them tomorrow."

Tohru glanced around her desk, feeling sort of cramped. She couldn't see the board anymore over the pile of books surrounding her. She tried to count them all -- were there thirty or forty? -- but she kept losing track.

"Pages 189 through 256 in your Pre-Calc books," said her math teacher, handing her a calculator to borrow and their new math text book, "Finish by the end of class."

"What is twenty-two divided by seven to the last decimal place?"

"What is the sound of one hand clapping?"

"If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

"If a train leaves Tokyo going at three hundred kilometers an hour and another train leaves Kyoto going only two hundred, what is your favorite color?"

"What is the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything?"

"How many pickles did Peter Piper pick?"

"Who took the cookies from the cookie jar?"

"How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?"

"What is your name? What is your quest? What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

By the time they uncovered her body, all her assignments were late.

I don't own Fruits Basket or any of the allusions in this fic.

This was a challenge. Yes, again. Please review anyway?

Have a nice day!

Hana

PS - 22/7 is Pi. And if anyone can answer the allusion questions (or eventell where they came from) they can expect an e-cookie.
