The leaves blew into the wind as we sat there, looking out into the sky that Juno floated on. I found her here, teary eyed once again. The pressure of the guild was hard on her, I knew. This woman would die before letting the guild know her stress. I knew about this place though, because she had found me here once too.

"If you wish to end it," I said softly and gently so not to disturb her with the idea of such a thing. "If you wish to just let go, I'll support you all the way." She smiled and laughed weakly. I could understand. The whole thing has been important to us both. To let go of such a precious thing was like promising we wouldn't breathe for a year.

"I'll lose you." She remarked, fists clenching harder. Her armor was stained with weary tears. "We'll end up drifting an-"

"No, don't say that." I said strictly, now looking at the Knight. "I won't leave you. I promise I'll stay with you, no matter what." She smiled and looked back with hope in her eyes. I wanted to hold her and make it all go away.

"You think…" She snickered between silent sobs. "You think you could keep up, with all that chunky Crusader armor?" I laughed at the sudden joke. Only she could keep this up in such emotional times.

"I'll try my best." I replied, with a comeback in mind. "At least I'm faster in the head!" She pouts and pushes me playfully. "It's true, I don't usually run into battles expecting to barge through every time."

"It works though, so hush." She got hold of my right arm and leaned her head on my shoulders, making me blush a bit. All the time we've been together, this was probably the first time we've casually touched. I smiled and said nothing, leaning back on my left arm enjoying the breeze.

"You know…" I said, not thinking at all what was coming out of my damned mouth. She looks up at me, tears now dried, questioning what I'm about to tell her. "You're really…you're really beautiful."

And so the night went on speechless. I could feel her smile as we stayed there for the longest time. It was the best ending any story could have…even if it wasn't a happily ever after.

I sat on Valkyrie, watching the people below. It has been sixty years since our death from the Ragnarok and we've just been appointed the new Gods of Rune Midgard; She, the Goddess of Light and I, the God of Balance.

There isn't much to say I guess, under the new king, everything was at peace. One thing that did catch my eye was…

A Crusader and Knight could be seen running through the prairies together, laughing and enjoying themselves. I wished, that these two would have the future I wish we had...but as long as I can keep my promise, that'll be good enough.
