Nick entered their apartment and went straight to the couch. He had just returned from his conference and was so tired that he felt he could sleep for days. Nick was almost asleep until he felt something jump into his lap.
"Oof!" Nick opened his eyes and saw a very happy Greg with a grin spread over his lips. "Hey baby." He placed a throw pillow behind his head. "Now if you don't mind I want to sleep." He closed his eyes and tried to sleep even though he had a full grown man sitting in his lap.
"How can you be tired? You could have slept on the plane." The only response Greg received was silence. The younger man let out a sigh and crawled off of Nick's lap. He grabbed the remote off of the coffee table. He flipped through the channels before landing on a football game. Steelers vs. Broncos.
"Greg, can you please turn off the television?" Nick mumbled from his spot on the couch.
"Nope, I want to watch the game. Go into the bedroom if you don't want to listen to it." Greg knew perfectly well that Nick could, for some odd reason to him, sleep in total silence.
"Greg, come on! I don't feel like moving and I've had enough football to last me a lifetime." Nick complained, hoping his boyfriend would listen to him. He was so tired and the last thing he wanted to do was watch a football game.
Greg turned to the older man and Nick almost laughed at his shocked expression. "You had too much football? That's like me saying I had too much Marilyn Manson. It's not possible! It's not even thinkable! What happened over there? Did they brain wash you? "
Nick rolled his eyes and almost regretted not going to his bedroom to sleep. At least there it would be quiet and no one talks continuously when he is by himself. "I guess I've been away from Dallas too long. I'm not used to people going crazy over a football team."
"Well, Mr. Nicky, people love football. Especially men. Don't know why. Even you and Warrick have every Madden video game." Greg watched as Ben Roethlisberger threw the ball to Willie Parker who took off half way down the field before being tackled.
Greg glanced over at Nick and smiled. He looked so adorable. He crawled into Nick's lap once again and couldn't help but laugh as Nick pulled him down so he was lying on his chest. "If you want to be in my lap so much, you might as well be comfy."
"Everyone loves their home team, Nick. People in San Francisco love the 49ers, for some odd reason." Greg rolled his eyes to try to show that he didn't understand why people liked them. However, Nick knew better. He caught the younger man watching a few 49ers games.
"I don't know why you loving watching the Steelers so much. They're good but there are other teams who I would rather watch." Nick watched the game and saw penalty after penalty made against the Steelers.
Greg smiled. "What can I say, Ben Roethlisberger is hot."
Nick wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist. "Hotter than me?"
Greg grinned and leaned up as he kissed Nick. "No one's hotter than you, babe. Next time you come back from a conference, though, no sleep. It'll be Greg time."
Nick smiled. "Isn't it always Greg time?"
