The Next Morning

Anakin was woken by some one pulling the blankets off him roughly and a voice that definitely did not belong to Obi wan said" get up Anakin ! if I have to come back in here and tell you again you will not like the consequences do you hear me!"

Anakin nodded sleepily against his pillow and mumbled " a sleepy yes master" and turned over on his back as the person said " two minutes Anakin i mean it!" and with that the person left the room.

Anakin sat up and looked about the room and then he noticed something odd this wasn't his room or rather it was but it was his old room ,from when he was a Padawan and he it given to Ahsoka and moved into Obi wans room after he had moved in his new quarters that had been given when he was appointed to the council full time 2 years ago.

but as if him waking up In what should have been Ahsoka's room wasn't odd enough it was still dark outside Anakin looked at time and flopped back down on the with a groan , it was only 5 am he never woke up this early.

Not even when he was a Padawan had he been woken up this early in the morning Anakin thought too himself , Obi wan had always let him sleep until 8 am unless the council requested their presence at some ungodly hour of the morning.

As he thought about this Anakin realised who had woken him up and it definitely had not been Obi wan no the owner of the voice that woken him up morning had been dead for nearly 14 years now, it wasn't possible it couldn't be Anakin thought.

As he got up and walked to the door and opened it slightly to see out into sitting area and as he did his heart leapt when he saw Qui gon , seated at the breakfast counter reading something on a data pad Anakin couldn't believe it .

It was really him Qui gon was really alive and here Anakin thought happily to himself as he headed to the refresher to get ready for the day, and it was then when he got his second surprise of the day when he went to the sink to brush his teeth and do his hair.

He glanced at his reflection in the mirror and then he froze staring open mouthed at the reflection that stared back at him, because instead of the shaggy collar length dark blonde/golden brown hair that he had for the last two years.

The reflection that stared back at him from the mirror sported that horrible Padawan cut that he'd been so glad to be able to grow out when he had become a knight 2 years ago.

Oh no Anakin thought does that mean th... NO! he couldn't think like that just because his wish that Qui gon was his master instead of Obi wan had come true , that didn't mean that Obi wan was... NO! no! no he would not finish that thought, Obi wan was fine he just off living his life as knight as should have been instead of having look after me thought himself.

I ' ll talk to Qui gon and he' ll tell me that Obi wan is just off on some mission for the council and that he'll back soon and that he is absolutely fine,Anakin reasoned with himself as he got dressed and headed into the sitting area and approached Qui gon who was now making breakfast and said Master can I ask you something?"

" Of course Padawan what is it " Qui gon asked as he started dishing up the food onto plates Anakin hesitated for a moment and then said "h... have you heard from Obi wan lately!" Anakin asked now.

As he did Qui gon froze in what he was doing and he remained silent for a few minutes and then he said softly "Anakin that isn't funny! " suddenly a wave of dread came over Anakin and he said I 'm sorry master I didn't to upset you I jus... Anakin didn't get to finish his sentence as Qui gon 's hand shot out across the counter and he slapped Anakin hard across his face.

Anakin recoiled with his hand to his cheek WHAT THE KRIFF ! he thought this wasn't the Qui gon that he remembered ! The Qui gon that he remembered would never have hit him for asking about Obi wan . Something was very wrong and from the way that Qui gon was now looking at him.

He wasn't going to be getting any answers to his questions about Obi wan from him anytime soon, so Anakin decided to go the Library after breakfast and do some digging about the in temple records to get to the bottom of Qui gon's angry reaction to his question about Obi wan.

Later That Day

Anakin was sat at one of the computer terminals in temple library searching the temple member's and missions records when he suddenly saw what he had been looking for the records for the mission to Naboo 13 years ago.

They were restricted access which Anakin found odd but it was nothing that he couldn't find a way around so that he could access them and find out why Qui gon reacted the way he had when Anakin had asked about Obi wan!

A few minutes later Anakin had his answer to why Qui gon had reacted to Anakin asking about Obi wan way he had, but it wasn't the answer that Anakin had hoped for , Obi wan wasn't off on any mission for the council.

Anakin realised sadly as he read the Naboo mission report No it was Anakins worst fear come true Obi wan had been killed on Naboo 13 years ago by Maul because of a wish that he had made , Anakin couldn't bare to read any more of the awful details .

He put his head in hands and thought to himself YOU! Did this , this is all YOUR FOLT! OBI WAN IS DEAD! BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR STUPID WISH!

And worst part about all of it was that he hadn't even meant it when he had said that he wished that Obi wan had died instead of Qui gon, he hadn't once thought that the force might actually grant his wish!and now he'd never be able to tell Obi wan just how sorry he was and that he hadn't meant any of the cruel and unkind things that he had said to him.

OH FORCE ! HOW AM I SUPPOSED KRIFFING FIX THIS NOW! Anakin thought to himself tears welling up in his eyes, his only real friend was gone because him and his idiotic wish.

Suddenly an idea came to him Yoda ! If anyone would know how to help him fix his mistake and put things back the way they should be , it would be the Grandmaster of Order!

Yes Master Yoda would know and even if he didn't know how to fix what Anakin had done he would be able too , find out what Anakin needed to do to fix this!

So with that thought in his mind Anakin left the library to look for the little green Grandmaster of the order!
