Dear Reader,
This is a Creative Writing Assignment that I wrote. It was inspired by a piece of Gundam Wing Fanart that I found on the Gundam Wing: Mission Aknowledged website. It was called "The Swan and the Crow" and it was based off of the ballet "Swan Lake". Relena was a delicate swan and Zechs was a crow. The artist had a note next to it saying how the comparison was striking and instead of Zechs being a villian it gives new meaning to how all he wants is to protect Relena. Moved I wanted to write something in answer. So I did. (and another thing... People will tell me that Relena is so not like this... But this is from Zechs perspective... We may think that she is different... But to Zechs, this is exactly the way Relena is.)
Stay safe Stay healthy Sincerely,
Starr Bryte

She is like an angel. Like a swan. Her beauty shines radient and fair… like the moon eclipsing the sun it will one day break free of this horrid darkness I have been forced to cover her with. Like a shroud.Suffocating her beauty and all that she was ment to be.She is strong. She is weak. She is a contradiction dressed in pink. So pretty in pink… She would look far better in white. White for her pure, innocent nature. White for hope. The pink only reminds me of blood running down a drain. Washed out and stained. She is too pure for pink. She may hold a gun, but she would never be able to pull the trigger. She would look more beautiful is white.White and blue. The colors of purity and royalty. That is what she should wear. When she is queen I will ask, no, I will demand that she be dressed in white and blue as befitting her nature and her status. A white dress with diamonds at her throat, sapphires at her ears and a crown of silver upon her head. A blue sash upon her bodice accented in silver. White and blue slippers upon her delicate feet. She will look like her mother. She looks so much like her mother. She has grown so much from when I had last laid eyes on her. She has filled out. Her legs are long and graceful. Grown more beautiful. Never an ugly duckling, yet she is now the most beautiful of swans. And like a swan she would look better in white. Swans, also the symbol of death, symbolize all the death that she has seen, yet it has not touched her. Such pretty tears she weeps for the dead, yet she thinks not of revenge, but of prevention. How to stop the death of one's loved ones. That is the only time death has touched her and I will not let it touch her again. I have already failed her twice. The death of her father, seen twice. Once through the eyes of a princess. Once through the eyes of a girl. She is just a girl. Yet she is queen. Queen among enemies and allies alike. And they will dress her up in white. Like an angel. Like a swan. Innocent and untainted by the pain and terrible bloodletting of this time. And although I shall pose as an enemy, I shall forever be on her side. I will kill for her. I will fight for her. I will die for her. Because I love her. Because I vowed to protect her. But this war has made a lie of my promises. I told myself I would stay as far from her as I could. I told myself I would never speak her name with love. I told myself I would forget her. I told myself that I would hate her. For her own good. All for her own good. I would free her. I would give her all that I could give. But I failed in that too. All I have left is this wretched life and a decision that must be made. So I will kill. So I will sin. So I will bathe myself in the blood of foe and ally alike. Just for her. Only for her. All for her. She would look far better in white.
