Why Can't Those Two Work Things Out?

When Rachel woke up the next morning, she had a huge smile on her face. She had had the most wonderful dream about her and Ross.

It started out with her just eating ice cream and watching Jerry Maguire, when suddenly she heard a knock at the door. When she opened it, Ross was standing there, wet from rain, just smiling at her. Rachel said "What?" but he didn't respond like she thought. He immediately brought her in for an extremely passionate kiss, and she immediately kissed back. They ended up making love like they did when they were together the whole night.

While thinking about her dream, Rachel just couldn't help but feel warm inside. She was sure that today would be a good day for her and Ross. She was gonna tell him that she still had feelings for him, and she wanted to get back together. She was sure that Ross would agree, because she knew that he still loved her.

After getting up, showering, and eating breakfast, Rachel decided to head over to Monica's. She still couldn't get Ross out of her mind, and people were staring at her because of the goofy smile plastered on her face. She had all the confidence in the world, and she was sure that nothing could stop her from reuniting with Ross.

When Ross woke up, he felt like he had turned a corner. His "date" with Kendra had been great. She was smart, funny, was easy to get along with (and not to mention ridiculously hot).

His thoughts drifted to Rachel momentarily, thinking about their conversation last night. But, he was sure that she didn't feel what he did, and he made sure to put his feelings aside. Besides, he was going out with Kendra again and she was great.

Once he was out of bed and dressed, he made his way to Monica's, just like he did every morning. But on his way, he ran into Kendra again.

"Wow, hey! How are you Kendra?" Ross was completely surprised by seeing her again.

"Pretty good. I really had a good time last night Ross. I'm looking forward to our date later." Ross thought 'Wow, she's being pretty forward. AWESOME'

"Well, actually, are you doing anything right now? I was on my way to my sister's and I would love for you to meet her and my friends." Ross was hoping she would come, because he wanted to show her off to Chandler and Joey.

"Sure, just show me the way!"

When Rachel walked into the apartment, Monica immediately noticed something different about her. She always had a bright smile, but today there was a new element to it. Once Rachel sat down at the table, Monica decided to question her about what was going on.

"So, you seem to be in a good mood. What's with the smile?" Monica wasn't trying to be snotty, she naturally was, but she did want to know what was going on.

When asked about it, Rachel couldn't help but smile more. She felt like a teenager again, about to tell the cute guy that she had a crush on him. "Well Monica, if you want to know, I thought about Ross last night. A lot!"

"Wow, really. What did you decide?" Once Rachel said Ross' name, Monica immediately paid full attention to what Rachel was saying.

"Well, I thought a lot about our past and such, and remembered just how great he was. He's sweet, kind, generous, and GREAT at the stuff, if you know what I mean…"

"EEWWWW, Rachel he's my brother. No need to tell me he is good in bed!" 'Is she trying to gross me out' "Anyway, go on." Monica thought that this could be good news after hearing Rachel's last sentence.

"Well, I decided to confess my feelings to Ross. Last night I really thought about this, and even tried to think about the bad things happening if we got back together. But whenever I thought about that, I immediately remembered Ross' good side as well. So…I'm gonna tell him!" Rachel was really hoping that Monica would approve. Even if she didn't, she would still tell him though.

"That's great! Oh, we're gonna be friends-in-law again!" Monica really was happy. She always wanted Ross and Rachel to get back together and now was as good of a time as ever. She immediately hugged Rachel, congratulating her and everything.

At this time Joey, Phoebe, and Chandler walked in to the apartment. They saw Rachel and Monica hugging and smiling, and Joey's head got ideas.

"Sweet!" Joey said when he saw them hugging. Joey always wanted to see them together, even though it only happened in his head.

Ignoring what Joey said, Phoebe asked them "What's up, girls?"

"Rachel loves Ross and she is gonna tell him today!" Monica immediately yelled. Rachel kinda looked at Monica with a 'What the hell are you doing' look, but she brushed it off.

"Is that true?" The other three all asked in unison. When Rachel smiled and nodded her head, they all started dancing around and singing. Once they were settled down and done giving their good graces to Rachel, the girls all talked at the table while Joey and Chandler started watching TV.

"So, when did you realize your feelings?" Phoebe asked. She wondered why she had just heard this and was even more amazed that she didn't see it coming.

"Well, yesterday after me and Ross talked about my sister. He said something like 'I didn't wanna do anything because it could wreck our future' or something like that. It got me thinking, and then I decided to tell him this morning!" Yet again, Rachel couldn't conceal her smile.

Suddenly, Ross entered the apartment, and Rachel immediately stood up and smiled at him. Right when she was gonna ask Ross to go out to the balcony with her, Kendra walked in.

"Guys, I want you to meet Kendra Phillips. She is my girlfriend." Ross proudly said this last statement after he saw Joey's jaw drop at how hott she was when she entered the apartment. However, Rachel felt as if someone just stabbed her in the heart.

He introduced them all, and she shook their hands. When she came to Rachel, Rachel was almost crying from disappointment. She put on the best face she could, and politely introduced herself. But once Kendra and Ross sat on the couch, she immediately left, barely even saying good-bye to anybody.

When seeing Rachel leave in such a hurry, Monica and Phoebe followed her out. When they saw Rachel crying on the stair outside the apartment, they hugged her and tried to console her.

"Why guys? Every time I wanna be with him, he is with someone else. It's like I have to make him unhappy for a little bit in order to be with him. What should I do?" Rachel was a mess, and she needed help.

"Are you kidding me? Rachel, you have to tell him soon, before he gets serious with her. He only went on one date with her, and he would dispose of her in a second for you. You are meant to be with him, now go fight for your man!" Phoebe yelled at her, scaring Rachel a little.

"Phoebe's right Rachel. If you want him, fight for him. But don't wait to long, or it will get even harder to tell him." Monica said, giving Rachel her two cents.

"Maybe guys, but I just want him to be happy. I'm gonna go home and eat some Ben and Jerry's and feel sorry for myself." Rachel stated. She hugged her two best friends one more time before going back to her and Phoebe's apartment with tears dropping down her face.

"We need to help her out by trying to get Ross to realize his feelings. But what can we do?" Monica said, trying to figure out a way to reunite her brother and best friend for hopefully the last time.

"OH, we could get Chandler and Joey to talk to him. You know, kind of a 'Locker Room' talk." Phoebe blurted, sounding proud of herself.

"Great idea! OK, go get Chandler and Joey, and tell them what to do!" Monica stated.

Once Phoebe had told Chandler and Joey of their plan, they immediately jumped on board.

Operation Lobster Reunion was under way.
