Well, this was a poem I had to write for a class, but I guess I should post it because it is about MGS3. Anyway, enjoy!

Into the Jungle

In the jungle lies pain

That brings out the little ones to fear.

They bite and sting, bringing your end.

And in a flight of yellow fury

Fades away back into the sorrow

Darkness, to hidden burrows without Joy.

Look there, in the corner of his eye is fear

From the unsettling jungle hinting his end.

He speaks, he asks if there is Joy

In death, or is there sorrow?

Suddenly there is cacophony and a fury

Of leaves in the trees, a metal flash then pain.

The old warrior prepares to bring an end

To all things that live and have Joy.

But the living seems to possess a fury,

And ignores death so close, feeling no pain.

He tells himself, "I have no fear",

Because his question is answered: no sorrow.

White hot flames in a fury

Burns his world, it is time to forget sorrow.

And yet he is exhausted, burned, and in pain.

Perhaps the answer is wrong, perhaps this is the end

Of all things that bring Joy.

He has failed, because he remembered fear.

The sky cracks open, and falls sorrow

Cold tears. This is it, the end

Of all things. It is time to fear

This sad, wet, and nasty place without Joy.

This sadness, no, this sadness is not pain

But a reason to rise back up with fury.

Here at the end of all things lies Joy,

Lying before white plains without pain.

The darkness is gone, even the sad falling sorrow

Is gone. This Joy, she shows no fear

When he, our hero, charges in a fury.

Two warriors have finally met their end.

He felt pain and fear

When the end was near. With strong fury

Though, fought sorrow and found Joy.
