Summery: One- Shot. Jane thinks about her life three years after learning of John's real identity.
The Baby
It had been three years since they discovered each others real identity – their real lives. Three years since they quite their assassin jobs. Three years since they had moved and created a new life – together.
John and Jane Smith worked very hard to get to know each other again. They worked very hard to create the life they now had.
Ironically, Jane and John both picked they same jobs they had had as covers while they were assassins. 'I guess it is because it was something familiar to us.' Jane Thought as she sat on the swing outside their modest three bedroom house.
She was staring at the pond John had built – it was a place to relax, and Jane found herself out there quite often. John and she had often talked about their lives – the past and the future out here.
Over a year ago they had had a serious discussion of creating a family. Jane was surprised to find herself wanting one. She had always though she would never want a child – but found herself excited to have one now.
That's right. She was now pregnant.
Four months ago she had learned she was pregnant. Not long after that she told John – who had been very happy to hear it. Jane had feared his reaction, but was happy to find he was happy for a child.
"Hi, Honey." John said as he came to sit next to her on the swing.
"Hi." She said smiling as she turned to face him.
"Is everything okay?" He asked smiling back.
"It's fine." Jane said smiling as she leaned into John's side. "I was just thinking."
Jane and John had both kept in touch with their old friends. Those that didn't know they were assassins had been told they had needed a change. After their house blew up; an accident, they were told, they had decided to move closer to other family.
This was in some way's true. John had reconnected with his family – his old life.
"About?" John asked, bringing Jane out of her thoughts.
"Nothing much." Jane answered mysteriously. "Just life."
End of the Baby.
A/N: I hope you like this one shot. I REALLY loved the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It's one of the best movies as far as I am concerned. Congratulation's Angelina Jolie and Brad!
