Disclaimer: None of the characters belong to me. I'm not making money out of this; it's purely for entertainment! The song in part 3 does not belong to me, I'm only making a refer to the title! No copyrights intentioned!
Snippet 1: Crossroads.
I'm standing at a crossroad in my life; one leads to security and acceptance the other to prejudice and an unknown destiny. I have to make a choice because in this life you can't stand still. But after choosing one of them it will mean that I'm excluding the other one, so here I stand at the crossroad of my life. Think and weighing the pros and cons of the two possibilities. After a while I realise something, staying here means excluding both options, and giving up any chance of happiness and that is what's most important, isn't it? I should not care about the opinion of others if that means that I will be unhappy. So making my decision I choose my path.
"Nick, you want to go for a drink after work with me?"
FinSnippet 2: Dangerously attractive.
'Dangerous' is the first thing that Grissom thinks.
'Dangerous but tempting.' Even from a distance he can see the strength in the form. The power to make him tremble in his knees, reducing him to a puddle of goo. The power to make him feel younger then he is the power to make him feel alive.
Grissom knew that giving in would mean that he couldn't stop but still he had to try…………..after all it wasn't every day a new roller coaster opened.
FinSnippet 3: With or without you, or in other words how the simplicity of life can form complex situation.
Sitting inside his office he could hear faint music from Greg's station.
'With or without you from' U2 if he was right. Not Greg's usual style but nicer (in his opinion), getting back at his monthly evaluating papers of 'his kids' he saw that Nick's file was next.
Opening it, Grissom was suddenly overwhelmed by the similarity between the song and the relation he had with Nick.
On the one side Gil could not stand to be near Nick. He was always to caring and supportive to the people around him, making Grissom feel like a robot. And Gil knew he was anything but.
On the other hand when Nick wasn't near him he felt empty and alone. As if there was no warmth and light in his life. Sighing Grissom told himself that he needed to concentrate himself on the evolutions and to push the debate with himself: what was more important (to live with or without Nick) to the back of his mind. Staring for a moment at Greg's office where the song just finished Grissom thought: why does this simple feeling of love make my life so complicated? Before he went back to work.
