chapter 1 mira and the maiden
"fold already"atton said getting angry
"but i still have two cards"
"for the last time you have ninteen,so fold already.'' atton yelled
"fine i fold,i never understood this game.''
mira smilled to herself,the conversation between atton and merie was easliy overheard,and she couldent deny she was amused by it.she never would have thought that merie was the type to play such a dumb game,but she was proving her wrong.
they had been at it for almost an hour,at first atton had been patient teaching her the rules of pazaak,but he was quickly getting angry,merie was great in a great to have in a battle,but when it came to playing pazaak she was lost.
mira had just entered the lounge,and was just about to get a drink when mical walked in heading to the cockpit,she noticed he looked a little afraid.''um...excuse me,but i wonder if i could have a word.''
''were busy so get lost.''attos said getting more angry at the interpution
''no,its ok.'' merie dident sound annoyed at the interuption ''what did you wana talk about?''
mical hesitated,mira leaned forward not wanting to miss anything.''um..could we go to the medbay.''
''shure.'' merie said happily trying to cover up the mean sound atton made.
footsteps dounded in the hall,mira quickly leaned back preatending not to notice them enter,they dident say anything to her and went into the medbay.
the door to the cockpit slammed shut as atton gave into his anger,mira jumped grabbing her lightsaber,she stood there shaking her head,she quickly put her sabre aways even thou she wasent on NAR SHADDA she was ready for a fight.
she quickly finished her drink,now that the pazaak lesson was done,it had gotten boring so she left the lounge making her way to the garage.
bao-dur wasent there, she stoped and looked around but dident see him anywhere,she shrugged and went over to the workbench,she was about to put a couple of upgrades into her lightsabre but stoped and turned around.
the handmaiden stood in the door way watching her,her blue eyes searching miras face''what are you doing in here?''
mira looked in the maidens eyes,she was a little uncomfortable around her,and yet she also liked having her around.
''perhaps if you came out of the cargo hold,you would know i move around the ship.'' mira said annoyed at the question
''perhaps'' the maiden said looking around the garage.''but maybe i know more than you think.''
''what's that suppose to mean" mira said surpised
''so many questions.'' the maiden mummered.sitting down on a cargo silnder.''merie has asked me to get to know you people.''
''and'' ''does that bother you?'' mira asked
"i am not bothered.'' she hesitated ''but i do not know what to think,its been along time since i talk to people.''
mira just stared at her thinking she is really beautiful,i wonder what she thinks about me.
the maiden conquied to talk,''though ive been with merie for such a little time she isent like atris said,and i cant help but trust her,and she trust me.what do you think.''
mira just sat there not know what to say,finally after a moment she said ''you can trust her.'' she wasent shure why the maiden cared what she thought,but she wasent like most people,and for some reason she suspectedthat the maiden was experiencing a conflict deep within her.
the maiden sttod,''i do trust her,and i ..trust you.''
miral looked at her in shock when she finally spoek it came out little more than a whisper,''um..thanks.''
the maiden just smiled and left,mira dident know what to do,why am i attracted to her,she thought to herself,she stood and walked to her room thinking,never before had she conidered her attraction towards her own gender.
