Yeah, this is my first fic. Its kinda cheesy in my opinion but thats alright for a first fic i suppose, so is the title
The fic is based on the song from the musical/movie "Rent" which is called "Without you" surprise surprise!
but it doesn't quite match the story... oh well.
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu Gi Oh GX or Rent. Yu Gi Oh belongs to the brilliant Kazuki Takahashi and Rent belongs to the late Jonathan Larson or his family or something.
Without You
Tenjoin Asuka stood by the pier, staring out at the sea. The year before, it was a meeting spot for her and Marufugi Ryo (more commonly known as Kaiser Ryo), who had graduated from Duel Academia. She suddenly thought of a certain Osiris Red boy with brown and orange hair.
"Judai…." She sighed heavily. He disappeared after dueling against Edo Phoenix, and losing. He couldn't duel after that and Judai became incredibly depressed. It was a huge shock for him.
"It's so different now, with you gone."
Without you -- the ground thaws
The rain falls, the grass grows

The stars gleam, the poets dream

Asuka wouldn't be able to see his smiling face, his overly confident attitude had disappeared just as he did. She felt as if something in her heart was missing. Sho was devasted when Judai ran away. Kenzan, Misawa, Fubuki and Manjyome couldn't believe it. Asuka, herself, wanted to cry. She restrained herself, but would kill just to have him back at Duel Academia.
Without you-- the breeze warms
The girls smiles, the cloud moves

The crowds roar, the days soar

Second year here has been eventful so far. They had watched Kaiser lose to Edo Phoenix in the Pro Leagues, to much of their horror. Manjyome (now Manjyome White Thunder) suddenly wants to turn the whole school white as a blank piece of paper. Sho had been promoted to Ra Yellow after dueling a crazy Kaiser fan girl in the Obelisk dorm. Sho and Kenzan are always getting into fights about who is Judai's rightful "little brother." Temporary Principal Chronos and Temporary Vice Principal Napoleon are trying to destroy the Osiris Red dorm. Chronos probably only wanted the students at Duel Academia to be Obelisk Blues. And without Judai, the dorm has little chance of staying. Asuka became increasingly concerned for that matter. Judai needed to come back, ASAP. Otherwise, the school will be painted blue and yellow (A/N: CAL colors! lol) or white as Manjyome wants it to be. Maybe not even yellow anymore if Chronos and Napoleon succeed.
The world revives
Colors renew
But I know blue -- only blue -- lonely blue

The legs walk, the lungs breathe
The mind churns, the heart yearns
The tears dry -- without you
Nothing was what most could say normal. Asuka and the rest had to keep on going with their lives at school. Judai would want them to, if he were okay. Asuka had to protect the Osiris dorm. For him. For the rest of the Osiris Red students.
"Judai, come back please. We all need you. Especially me." She whispered as a single tear fell down her cheek.
