I
couldn't tell you
Why she felt that way
She felt it
everyday
And I couldn't help her
I just watched her make
The
same mistakes again
She sat on a bench as she laced up her skates. As she stood up she pushed her beanie further down on her head hoping to hide herself from everyone. Just incase Craig and Jac came that way, they wouldn't notice her.
What's
wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems
don't
know where she belongs
Where she belongs
She stepped out on the ice and wobbled a little, getting used to the icy surface underneath her feet. She slowly started to glide, going with the people in the big circle. Almost like a heard of sheep.
"Take it easy Cam" she said to herself, it's been years since she's ice skated. But it felt like just yesterday. Her mom dropping her off at the rink at crazy hours of the morning and she stayed until it was dark. Practicing and practicing to become the next Nancy Karagin. Then dad died..
She
wants to go home
But nobody's home
It's where she lies
Broken
inside
With no place to go
No place to go
To dry her
eyes
Broken inside
She traded the skates in for sluttish clothes and overdeveloped 5th grade girls. She slowly drifted into the middle of the ice where the good skaters were. She had so much on her mind that she just wanted to try and see if she still had it in her. She slowly started to glide backwards "he doesn't like you cam" she thought gaining sped "the other night was just because he's a horny guy" she grit her teeth as she went faster. She didn't want to be how she was anymore. She wanted love, she wanted a relationship, not someone guys went to when they needed a good lay.
Open
your eyes
And look outside
Find the reasons why
You've been
rejected, and
Now you can't find
What you've left behind
She closed her eyes and jumped. She opened her eyes mid air and she started spinning. A huge smile crept onto her face as she landed on one foot. It made her seem like she never stopped.
Her
feelings she hides
Her dreams she can't find
She's losing her
mind
She's falling behind
She can't find her place
She's
losing her faith
She's falling from grace
She's all over the
place, yeah
She continued to skate as she slowly pushed all thoughts of Craig out of her mind. She didn't need a guy to make her happy; she's searched for so long to find something that made her feels like she was high without really being high. Skating was her Niche and she was back at it.
She
wants to go home
But nobody's home
It's where she lies
Broken
inside
With no place to go
No place to go
To dry her
eyes
Broken inside
