Getting to One's Mind
Stuck in a
corner,
ignoring the shrieks.
Its only been minutes,
but it
feels like weeks.
The monsters attacked,
a little while
ago.
You tried to defend,
but their assault never
slowed.
Backpedaling fast,
with your gun blazing.
Nowhere
to run,
with the monsters hell raising.
Tripping over
sprawled bodies,
and out of ammunition,
you need to get to a
door,
its your only ambition.
Slamming the door behind
you,
your trapped in a room.
Running to hide in the corner,
and
wait for everyone's doom.
You hear the footsteps of
soldiers,
and the screams begin.
You know that they're
dying,
your minds clawing from within.
Your heart is
pounding fiercely,
why weren't the monsters still confined?
All
you can do is wait,
and see if it's the end of mankind.
Minutes
tick by,
with fear and adrenaline combined,
everything seems
slower,
the creatures can easily get to ones mind.
