A reassuring smile.

A hysterical edge.
"Daniel—"
"Jack! I can see its eyes!
A scrambling thump.
"Daniel. Get off the table."
A roll of the eyes.
"Jack! Jack! It's trying to climb up!"
"Daniel…"
A suffering sigh.
