"Kelly that's enough," I giggled as we both looked into the mirror, I stole a quick look at her and saw her smiling, we both dissolved into laughter. I loved the shade of her dress; it was a jade color and looked beautiful on her. I wanted to wear that dress, but there is a little rule that you can't dress the same as your bridesmaids at your wedding.
Kelly continued her last minute assessment with me, "I am glad you wore your hair down. It looks better with this veil." I didn't respond to the comment of "this veil" because I knew she was trying to be nice.
"This veil", referred of course my past veil, which I had worn to my last wedding. Roy had been half an hour late and was drunk, needless to say we had a huge fight and I hadn't talked to him since.
"Kelly, your next" whispered my dad from the door. Kelly hugged me, flicked one more curl, and walked out of the room.
I was alone for the first time today, today was finally the day, I would be married in under an hour. I had always known that we would end up together. He had kindly waited one month after my almost wedding to ask me out, which I thought was a little long myself. But who cares because I was going to marry him today.
"Ready?" my dad asked, all I could do, was nod my head slowly. I flipped the veil over my face, and walked out of the room, to where my dad was waiting. The first strings of the wedding march played, and everyone stood up to look at me. I was nervous until Jim's eyes met mine; he gave me a reassuring smile. I remained in eye contact with him all the way down the aisle.
I felt a sudden jerk on my arm, and realized that we my father had stopped walking. He lifted the veil over my face and kissed me on the cheek. I turned and continued my journey down the aisle, Jim's and my eyes locked once again. Standing at the alter he subtly mouthed the words, "I love you."
I walked beside and whispered, "I love you too".
I then continued walking to the top of the alter, where I stood by my fiancé
