Alex couldn't sleep. She hasn't been able to ever since jay and his gang manhandled her. She stayed in the girl's room sitting gently on the edge of the older girl's bed. She had tears in her eyes and her face was pretty beaten. She ran her finger through the curly blonde locks of the little girl. She had her daddy's hair.

"mommy?" the little girl mumbled and she rolled over and faced Alex.

"go back to sleep sweetie" she said softly, which was broken up from her crying

"why you cry?" she asked in her sweet innocent voice. Tilting her head looking like a confused little puppy

"don't worry about mommy Chloe, she'll be fine, just go back to sleep" as said softly as she rubbed the little girls cheek.

These beautiful big brown eyes looked back to Alex as if she wasn't understanding what Alex was saying.

"I wub you" she said in her kiddy voice. She had a small speech impediment but that was normal for a little girl of around 3.

A smile crept across Alex's face, she gently layed down next to Chloe, wrapping her arm around her.

"I love you too Chloe" she kissed her cheek

"mommy?" the girl asked

"yes honey?" Alex looked at her

"Haleigh wubs you too. I know it" the little girl smiled and planted a little kid kiss on her mothers nose.

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

"I know sweetie" Alex nodded slightly as she held her first born close to her. She continued to cry

"why you still crying?" the little girl asked not getting it. "we wub you"

"mommy's just sad" she said softly "but you are making her happy"

The little girl wrapped her small arms around her mother giving her a hug. Chloe had only really been Alex's for about a week but it felt like she never lost her first daughter.

"mommy?" the little girl asked once again, her brown eyes looked into her mothers "Daddy wubs you too, a wot" she little girl nodded "he wants you not be sad"

Alex nodded, she was amazed how her daughter knew so much. She knew Sean loved her, and he would do anything for her but knowing her little girl knew it also, something hit a nerve and she started crying harder

"he loves you too baby" she smiled "so much, you and your sister are his world" Alex smiled but noticed the little girl with the big brown eyes and curly blonde hair was fast asleep in her arms.

Just then Alex realized there was more to life, a half hour ago she wanted to be dead. To live with rape was a horrible thing to have. She started turning to her childhood and shut Sean out. Now she just wanted to be with her family. She had to be a mother to these beautiful girls. she was going to alright. It took a 3 year old girl to make her realize it.

A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
