Title: Dying Thoughts
Rating: PG
Author: That's right, Night Essence
Summary: Draco's dying.
It's amazing what runs through your head when your dying. Everyone thinks your life flashes before you eyes. And they're close, they really are. But it's not the good times or even the bad times that you witness. No it's the important times you see. The choices that had the most affect on your life, that's what you see. And for a dying Draco it all started with Potter. The first flash for Draco was offering his hand to Potter. Then the letter from his Father. Yeah, that letter. And while Draco was witnessing these flashes, time seemed to slow down. He had time to see each memory and think about it. And as a young man of twenty-six, that's a lot of choices, and the whole time it seemed that had eternity to ponder each choice. Draco, so lost in the memories, didn't see the people surrounding him, didn't see as they lifted their wands to give the final blow, to kill him faster. Draco's last remembered choice was offering to distract the Death Eaters while Potter killed Voldemort. Draco scoffed in his head as he watched the image and thought, 'Potter better get this right.' Draco saw no more choices, no more memories, he died and his life didn't flash before his eyes.
I don't know what this is. I wanted to have Draco die being a hero because I love him, but this didn't turn out like I wanted it to. Anyway, review.
