Hi minna!

This is a new story I decided to write. You know one of those "spur of the moment" kind of things. I hope you enjoy it and just wanted to remind you that "Whilst it was raining" has finally been updated!

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon or any of the characters.

The Descendant of the Moon

Prologue

"Let go of me!" The hooded creature snapped furiously.

Tall trees hovered above the small clearing blocking out whatever little sunlight might have been available as the slight fog only served to heighten the gloominess. Silence reigned supremely at that moment as all the small animals had fled moments before.

"I think not," a young man answered coldly. "Not until you state your errand here."

"I have need of no such thing!" was the angry retort he got in return. "Who are you to demand an explanation from me? You have no right!"

The man's blue eyes narrowed at the hooded creature. He had yet to see what being was hidden under the cloak. "As yourKing I have every right!"

The creature stiffened slightly at the proclaimed words but recovered swiftly. The voice that replied the prince was low but confident. "Do you think I shall grovel merely because you are King? Then you underestimate me. "

TheKing frowned; who was this that dared defy him? A small hand movement of the King caused the soldier holding the creature to hurriedly and roughly pull the hood back. Everyone standing in the glade gave a collective gasp as even theKing was astonished although showing no signs of it.

Silver hair spilled forth in waves as a pair of defiant crystal blue eyes met the King's own pair challengingly. Words left one of the King's guardian's mouth before he could stop them.

"You're a woman!" he spluttered ungracefully.

The petite woman straightened herself up to her full length, which wasn't very much, as an eyebrow quirked up in amusement.

"What a skilled observer you are! Thank you so very much, I would never have noticed it otherwise!" she said causing some men to snicker as the guardian turned red.

"Why you…" he stopped suddenly. In her blue eyes he could see merriment dancing and for some reason felt an inclination to smile himself.

The pale haired man standing beside stepped forth and bowed before her. "Milady, please excuse Jadeite's behavior. He is often prone to overreact and let his temper reign," he finished gently.

TheKing looked on in puzzlement. It was as if all of them had forgotten that this woman was a captive. They all treated her with more respect than they did most nobles and he noticed that the soldiers holding her had already released her.

There was something unusual about this girl he decided. Something about the way she held herself or maybe it was her eyes? He pondered.

"Who are you?" TheKing finally asked; hiscommanding voice cutting through the rest.

The mere slip of a girl lifted her eyes to his glare without a flinch, impressing him somewhat, before he caught the amused gleam in her eyes. Was she laughing at him?

She swept into the most magnificent curtsy, letting her cloak land on the ground showing off her simple yet stunning white gown underneath.

"How very rude of me. Please forgive me Your Highness," she stated calmly the twinkle never leaving her eyes. "I am Serenity O'Luna."

There! That was the prologue! Hope you enjoyed it! Tell me what you think! Review, review and review!

Till next time then!
