Well, this is my second shot at a Danny Phantom. I had actually written this about a year ago, lost it, found it again, then had to 'translate' it into story format. Whew, that took a while. Anyway, for anyone who gets confused, the first paragraph is simply a narrator talking. Enjoy!

We start this wondrous tale about five years ago, inside a decent-looking but shabby...Wait, what do you mean 'I'm a bad narrator'! I just started, buddy! How can you tell that after hearing...fifteen, yea fifteen words! Cheapskate...What? I'm FIRED? Fine...It's an orphanage, by the way, folks. Where the story starts, that is. Hey, you don't have to use the cane on me, buddy!
On a chilly, fall night, a breeze blows through a half-opened window. The cheap white curtains flutter as a small girl, no older than eight or nine shivers underneath her thin blankets. This girl has been abandoned by her parents, now living out the remainder of her childhood in an orphanage. Or so everyone thinks.
In an instant, an eerie, green glow is cast over the girl's face, and a stronger breeze blows her flaming red hair straight back. It wakes her up almost instantly. Staring in shock, the girl's green eyes reflect the radioactive glow. A swirling vortex, about 5 feet in diameter has appeared on the wall. The girl looks back at the other sleeping forms. Everyone else is sound asleep, quiet snoring coming from a nearby bed. She takes a deep breath and steps out of her bed, her nightgown swirling around her bare feet. Closing her eyes for a mere moment, the girl steps forward and falls into the green oblivion.
