EDT #2: Love

Word Count: 116

For Rei, love is a single emotion that comes in three forms.

Her mother.

Her father.

Her friends.

Her mother's love is eternal; Rei can see it in her memories, feel it in her dreams, and breathe it in the wake of her ephemeral existence.

Her father's love is an undertone; never coming to the surface and only seen between the look in his eyes and the words he does not speak.

Her friends' love is eclectic; it is trust, it is consistent, it is the present and the future, it is non-judgmental and forever. It is a rock that will forever keep her sane from the insanity of secrecy and grand responsibility. It is everything.

If you can guess what the "secrecy" and "grand responsibility" is, pat yourself on the back. I think it's quite obvious and I hope for the readers it is too.
