Her brother was acting odd.
He was tense, immediately reacting to the slightest of her touch. His friendly words were accompanied by harsh and cynical tones; the others thought he was simply being sarcastic. However, Rei knew better.
"Has evil claimed your soul, Endymion?" She corners him in the foyer.
When he smiles gently at her, it does not reach his cold, irritated eyes. He knows what she is inquiring about. "I have been tired, that is all."
Again, she does not believe him and so has no choice but to call upon the spiritual powers of the ofuda to confirm her suspicions.
