Note: Lately I seem to just get ideas stuck inside of my head and this is one of them. I hope that this one pans out well for me!
Prologue.
It had been six years since Mutant X had dealt their most powerful blow to the Dominion. Six years that had involved patient searching and life changing experience, and now with two words Jesse Kilmartin was going to change his own life/
He held the hands of his beautiful Courtney and stared into her deep blue eyes. He couldn't help but smile at the way her pure white dress offset her dark black hair. She was perfect, and in a moment she would be his. "I do." He half whispered.
Courtney smiled back at him. All that she knew was that Jesse loved her. She would never understand the way he acted sometimes, or the more interesting friends he had, but she did love him and that was something that she could understand.
To them both it felt like only a matter of seconds for the rest of the vows to go by and for them to kiss each other. The next three years also flew by quickly. At least for Jesse they did.
Courtney noticed things about her husband that she had never noticed while they were dating. There were several times that she heard him start to whisper the name of another woman when he was talking to her, and then there was the box. He opened the box only when he was alone and had forbidden her to touch it. It never mattered to her though, she loved him.
On the night of their third anniversary she was prepared to tell him the news that she had received, but she would never get the chance to tell him. He greeted her at the door and carried her upstairs to their bedroom, where she was found lying dead the next day.
