The Model's Tale
It was the model's turn to tell her tale
With words that never seemed to fail.
A young beauty she may seem to be
But there is more than you choose to see.
Her beauty is known throughout the lands,
Her long blonde hair and her dainty, little hands.
Beauty may not be her only fine feature
You may find intelligence in this elegant creature.
"I must bear the tale of a young girl like me,
But there was more to her beauty than people chose to see.
She finds two loves in her young life
Both who want her to be their wife.
A terrible choice she is forced to make
There is one heart that she must break."
The young beauty spoke in such a grave manner
As she carefully closed her beautiful planner1.
The model's tale is not what you may think
But forced my mind to its furthest possible brink.
If you choose to believe that models are not too bright
Then choose another tale that is so very trite2.
And so begins the Model's Tale
Once upon a time in a world not so very long ago,
There was a young photographer with a very large ego.
This photographer named Brad was considered the best
Always rising to a challenge or to the grandest test.
While on a photo shoot one fine Saturday morn
He met the most beautiful woman that was ever born.
The model's name was Lana and was as fine as she could be.
Brad thought, "She could not love anyone but me."
That night when Brad returned to his home,
He found his friend had returned from Rome.
Brad and Steve had been friends for a number of years
The two of them shared both laughter and tears.
Their friendship was of a quite unusual sort,
Each showing some kindness through their loving support.
Naturally, Brad told his friend about his new love
Hoping she would be someone that Steve would approve of
For Brad held Steve's opinion in the highest regard
Steve must have been Brad's very secret guard.
Steve was unusual in his own special sort of way
For he could not see, no matter which way he should stray.
Steve was as blind as any man could be
The beauty inside was all that he could see,
Forced to live a life from other perspectives
Never finding his own personal objectives.
The following day, Steve and Brad went back to the shoot
To form an opinion of Lana that should be very acute.
All Steve knew was Brad's perspective of her
Unknowing that his feelings would equally stir.
When he learns of her impressive, analytical character
Admiring the inner beauty of this great attracter3,
Steve, too, fell in love with the beautiful girl
Causing his world to do nothing but whirl.
The love of his life was the same as his friend's
And this love shall defy all that transcends.
It was illogical that Lana could love a guy like him
His inability to see made the possibility very slim.
Both of the men fell in love with her beauty
While she was just doing her job and her duty.
Lana, on the other hand, was in love just the same,
But she had both men that she was able to blame4.
The day finally came when Brad told Lana the truth
But Lana had already chosen to be with the other youth.
Brad had his heart broken but learned a great lesson
Because he loved Lana for a superficial reason.
So Lana and Steve were finally united
For Steve was not so very shortsighted.
