Angel of my past,

You blinded me with your innocence,

Questioned my existance,

Looked through my eyes,

And laughed at my ignorance.

I held you once,

In the descending shadows,

As the eyes of the night,

Watched us fly by.

I felt at peace,

Brave and couragous,

With you at my side.

But then you spread your wings,

And flew away from me,

Leaving me alone and thoughtless,

And leaving nothing behind,

But a single feather,

From your glowing angel wings.
