He doesn't think he'd know what to do with himself if he didn't have the job to keep him from losing it completely. Twenty-odd years as a cop has left him with a rather jaded perspective on the cities he's worked. After all, he's seen the worst of both of them…seen more murders than he can count…helped to solve more sex crimes than he cares to remember.
But if there was one thing he wouldn't give up for the world, this is it. Over the years since he came here, New York City has become more to him than he ever thought it would be. And as he stands outside the 16th Precinct, he realizes something.
Over the years, the city has become his livelihood…a reason for living, and a reason for continuing on the path that he's chosen.
A/N: Another sort-of drabble thing...meh. My drabbles always go over the limits, I swear. Anyways...SVU is not mine...neither is Munch...and now I'm rambling, so I shall go before I get on your nerves.
