He pushed his long hair away from his eyes as he stared at the game board before him. It was a war game, with life-like battlefields, wounded soldiers with little white cloth stuck to their red-painted "wounds", and even alchemists with silver pocketwatches glinting from underneath blue uniforms.

He had seen the real thing one too many times to enjoy his favorite childhood game anymore.

He knocked over the bad guy pieces and laughed victoriously. When the excitement had worn from his cheated win, he sighed and trod upstairs, leaving behind the ruined game, an empty whiskey glass, and a half-full cup of coffee.

The stairs squeaked as he heavily stepped on them. The humidity had been building up, and the wood in the house was swelling, like the bedroom door he tried to force open now.

Without bothering to take off his clothes he collapsed in his bed as the rain began throwing itself at his window like suicide.

"What a horrible thought," He mumbled, trying to block out all too vivid memories of suicide from his mind. And he was so young... Shaking his head, he rolled over before managing to fall asleep and sleep fitfully for a couple of hours.

-

His eyes shot open, and he was trembling, desperately trying to remember what had woken him up.

A wet figure stood by his bed, trembling three times as much as he was. Silver glinted until the arm twitched and a sleeve covered the telltale scars of a painful life.

"I was scared..." A timid voice emitted from the figure, who took a step forward. "I'm sorry..." He smiled warmly.

"It's fine, sweetie. Have you eaten?" Long hair waved over a hidden face that moved left to right, and he sighed. "Ever since your parents died... You push yourself too hard." The profile became defiant, as if to say otherwise. He sighed again and joined hands with his wet, late-night visitor, his heart filled with sorrow for the young child thrown into war and tragedy... By choice.

In my mind, there are four choices for who the three people are:

-Roy and Edward, and Al was the suicide victim.

-Edward and Winry, and Al was the suicide victim.

-Roy and Elysia, and Edward was the suicide victim.

-Edward and Elysia, and Ed was the suicide victim.
