Ok hi everybody. Sorry it's been awhile, but school is back in session and I'm forced to go to sleep at my normal bedtime. Yes I know I'm 15, but I do still have a bedtime, my parents are strict and I'm a good girl.
Well here's chapter 3 hope you like it.
Evy had been laying down in her bed for over 20 minutes when Rick had walked in, his hair was all messy and his chest was bare, the only thing he had on were and old pair of pants.
He walked into the door way and, because the door was opened, he peeked in to see Evy looking at him smiling.
"Hey, you're awake." She said smiling at her, a smile that could brighten anyone's day.
"I've been up for a good 25 minutes." She said patting the space on the bed next to her.
"you sure?" he asked meaning if she was sure she wanted him in the same bed as her, now normally Evy was very proper it's just whenever Rick was around her she felt safe and able to do anything, including going to see her family after all these years, she just needed Rick at her side. Evy nodded and Rick moved towards her then got into the bed.
Once he was in, Rick wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head on his chest.
"I could get used to this." Rick joked and smiled as Evy lightly slapped his arm.
"Well don't" she said laughing. "Look I have something to tell you."
"Anything" Rick said, his voice turning serious.
"I received a call from my uncle this morning and I've got to visit him and the family. You know? The usual 'make sure family member is still breathing' thing." She said laughing as did Rick.
"Ok?" he questioned not seeing where she was going with this.
"I was wondering if you weren't busy with anything if you could come along."
"Sure, I'll go anywhere with you." Rick said as he pulled Evy close and kissed her passionately.
After they shared a few kisses, they got out of bed, got dressed and started to pack. Once they were finished they went downstairs for lunch and to wait for Jonathan to get home.
"Ok, knowing Jonathan he's not going to want to go, so we have to rush him in the car and not say anything." Evy explained while they ate. Rick nodded then spoke.
"Where do they live?"
"In London. My dad wanted my mom to live there with him, but he didn't want to move her away from her family so he also moved them there too. It was sort of another way they could keep an eye on me as I grew up." She explained. "I've already got the tickets to London the plane leaves in 6 hours, hopefully Jonathan will be home by then."
Just as they had finished lunch Jonathan walked through the door drunk, but only by a little. As he entered the house, Rick threw his suitcase at him; one Evy packed, and started to move him out the door and into the car. From behind Rick Evy was locking the door and talking about nothing and everything except the truth as to where they were going.
"Oh fantastic." Jonathan said as they got on the plane and Jonathan finally was told the truth.
The next day around 8 in the morning they arrived in London and rented a car. 2 hours later they pulled up to the front of a huge mansion with two stories and a little garden in the front. Evy looked to Jonathan who gave her an unhappy face and a sigh, then she looked to Rick who gave her a smile, she smiled back, looked to the house and got out of the car. Jonathan and Rick following her lead.
"Why do we have to be here?" Jonathan whined.
"Because they're family and we have to show up to get this over with."
"So why am I here?" Jonathan whispered hoping Rick couldn't hear them.
"To help me get through this."
"Right."
As they reached the front door Evy stood there not moving. She took a deep breath then knocked, silently praying she were back in Egypt.
The door opened and a man in his mid-fifties opened the door. He had white hairs and wrinkles covered his face, though his brown eyes showed perfectly.
"Evy" the man yelled embracing her; this man was Daniel, Evy's uncle. "We didn't expect you so soon." He continued looking her in the eyes then shook Jonathan's hand followed by Rick's.
"Yes well, we left as soon as we got your call had to see the family." She lied smiling.
They entered the house and said there hello's to the rest of the family members, including Evy's second uncle Greg, a man in his forties with little white hairs and blue eyes, something from there mother's side of the family, Evy had explained. Greg was the second and middle
Child, Evy's mother was the youngest.
"Well I must say we have missed you terribly dear." Larissa, Daniel's wife said hugging Evy.
"I missed you, too." Evy lied again.
"My dear niece," Greg said smiling, "even Chris has missed you." He said and as if on cue Chris entered the room. He was tall, blonde and had a nice body for a man, though he was nothing compared to Rick.
The second he saw Evy he walked up to her and embraced her, kissing her on both cheeks in the process and making Rick angry.
"down boy." Jonathan whispered into Rick's ear and patting him on the shoulder.
"Evy, Chris has been waiting the past three years for you to return." Daniel proclaimed happily. "and I think it's time we brought the wait to an end."
Evy looked over to Rick and gave him a sympathetic smile. He smiled back and gave her a look that asked a question 'what is going on?' she only shrugged and turned to her family and asked for the rooms before anything was started.
Well? How is it? Please review and let me know. I'll try to have the next chapter up soon. Once school can give me a break. Thanks to those who did review. Love ya.
