Ok, hi everybody. Look I am so sorry it has taken so long for me to update, I have writer's block with this story, I want there to be this big dramatic scene at the end, but can't think of a way to make it possible. Well while I think about that I just thought I'd be nice and update the next chapter, and here it is.

Once Evy was given back her childhood room, Rick and Jonathan were given their own and everyone had unpacked, Evy walked over to the room Rick and Jonathan shared. Once the door was opened and Rick came out she took him by the hand and led him to her room.

"Evy, what's going on?" he asked knowing they were safe in her room; he had been referring to the sudden movement about the house and all of the relatives fussing over Evy and Chris.

"Rick, can I tell you something and have you not get angry?" she asked sitting down on her bed motioning for him to join her.

"Of course, you can tell me anything." He said to her sitting on the bed and looking into her eyes.

"Anything?" she asked quietly and he nodded. "Ok, here it is, Chris is, well, he's a very close friend of mine." She started unsure of how to tell him everything in only a few moments time and debating if she even wanted to tell him.

"When I was eight and Jonathan was twelve our parents died on a trip to Egypt. At the time we had been staying in London with my uncle and his family for school reasons. Once we got word of the incident my uncle became our legal guardian and he wasted no time in making us part of the family." She said near tears at the reminder of her parents, if they were here she wouldn't be in this predicament.

"How did he do that?" Rick asked not understanding.

"The family on my mom's side has traditions of a prearranged marriage, and the first thing my uncle said to me that day was 'now we must find Evy a husband, for her parents cannot.'

"I was going to marry anyone my uncle wanted me to and I had no say in whom. Well, because I was best friends with this boy uncle Daniel thought it would be smart to put us together because we already knew so much about each other.

"A few days after the death of my parents my uncle said that when I got older I was to marry Chris and that his parents were ok with it and that they had some how pictured us together anyways.

"For the next few years I had thought he was only kidding and that it was some cruel, sick and twisted joke, but three years ago at my 20th birthday party he made an announcement that the wedding was to be decided on a date and place. Turns out he wasn't joking at all." Evy continued to explain every so often looking Rick in the eyes, but most of the time she found it hard to do so.

"I fled to Egypt to avoid the whole thing, but my uncle some how wanted this thing to go on. I never thought that he would end up requesting me home to marry him, I figured it would have left his mind." She confessed as tears ran down her eyes.

"So they're forcing you to marry?" Rick asked wiping the tears off of her face.

"Yes, but I hate the idea, I want to marry someone I love and loves me back. Someone who can protect me from harm." She said sobbing into his shirt. "Someone like you." She whispered and looked into his eyes.

At that moment she saw so much love in his eyes and soul, that's when she knew she didn't want Chris, she wanted Rick and no one else.

Rick lowered his head and his lips met hers in a passionate kiss.

"sorry." Jonathan said peering his head in through the door, "but you're wanted downstairs, Evy." He said as he closed the door and left.

Evy groaned, then got up and walked downstairs to the rest of the waiting family, Rick following closely behind her.

Once downstairs Evy could see her four male cousins talking with Chris and her uncles, Daniel and Greg in the kitchen as her three female cousins talked with both her aunts by marriage, Larissa and Monica, Greg's wife, about the wedding dress.

Because the wedding had been postponed foe so long Chris and Evy were to be married within the next three days. Never in all her life had Evy felt so sick to her stomach, she looked up at Rick, who stood behind her and closed her eyes as he gave her a gentle, reassuring squeeze.

Evy smiled then turned and walked toward her three cousins and two aunts who had been calling her over. 'Someone, please get me out of this nightmare.' Evy thought as she walked up to the group and was immediately pushed towards another room with a big white dress.

Well? How am I doing so far? Ok I'm only going to say this, don't get too friendly with Evy's family, they are the enemies, and you'll see why later, but I don't want anyone thinking they're nice because they're not. So please review and let me know what you think. Thanks to those who have reviewed, love hearing from you.
