Hey everybody, sorry it's been awhile, I've been really busy with school and all, well here's the next chapter, please read and let me know what you think.

I'm trying something new, I'm going to try to put in as much romance and detail as possible behind my parents back because well let's just put it this way, the story will flow better and my parents think a kiss is bad for a teenager to write about, so I'm trying my best, let me know if I should continue to put in a lot of romance or just forget it. It was 1:00 in the morning and Evy was staring at the white ceiling from her lavender bed. She breathed in a frustrated mood got out of her bed, threw on a robe and walked out of her room and quietly down the hall to Jonathan and Rick's room.

As she was walking she began to think of how much she wanted to pack her things and walk out that door, but the last time she did that she ended up, well she ended up right here at this exact moment in time.

Ever since Evy met Rick she knew she loved him which was why she knew she was going to do the right thing.

As she reached the door she silently knocked on it and was surprised when it opened so quickly.

"Rick?" Evy asked seeing he was wide awake as well. His chest was bare and she had to avoid his body all together before she went crazy.

"Yeah?" he asked confused at the fact that she was standing right there in front of him.

"I can't sleep…and was wondering…if you weren't busy…if you could come in my room and keep me company?" she asked stuttering at the oddness of the question.

"Sure, I can't sleep either." Rick said coming out of the room, closing the door quietly behind him and followed Evy down the hallway and into her room.

Once the bedroom door was closed Evy threw her arms around Rick's neck and kissed him passionately. She shivered as she felt his mouth open hers and his tongue snake in, slowly making her melt. As she pulled away she looked into his eyes and fell in love with Rick all over again.

She rested her head on Rick's chest and closed her eyes hearing the beat of his heart and that's when she knew that this was where she belonged in the arms of someone who loved her more than life itself.

Rick lifted Evy's face to his and looked in her eyes, "I love you, Evelyn Carnahan, and I always will." He said as he took her mouth in his again knowing full well she was ready to run away with him and leave her family behind.

"I love you too, Rick. I love you more than anything." She leaned in closer and took his lips in another passionate kiss.

"Marry me." Rick blurted out, making Evy stare him in the eyes then cry.

"I want to I really do, but I'm forced to marry Chris tomorrow and I can't get out of it." She said crying into his chest. Rick just put his arms around her and held her close, rocking her back and forth as tears ran from her eyes.

"If I can get you out of that, will you marry me?" Rick asked trying to calm her down.

"Of course, you're the one I want, no one else, but I've tried for 15 years now to get out of this, how you are going to do it?" She asked looking at him with love and confusion at the same time.

"Don't worry about that, I'll think of something, just as long as I can have you for myself." He said looking in her hazel eyes.

"I want you." Evy whispered. Rick just held her close and kissed her lips, then hugged her.

"Rick?" Evy asked confusion all over her voice.

"Yes?" he asked.

"I don't think you understand." She stated a smile could be heard as she spoke.

"What do you mean?" he asked not getting what she said at all.

"I want you." She said again this time with emphasis.

"You mean?" he asked wondering if she meant what he thought.

"Yes, I want you to make love to me." she said smiling and looking in his face.

"But why now?" Rick asked confused at the fact that she said she always wanted to what until they were married to be intimate.

"Because I've realized I love you more then anything and I want you now. I can't wait Rick. Besides if something goes wrong and I'm forced to marry Chris I want to know I gave my soul to the man I love the most. I don't want to live life thinking on what could have been instead of knowing what it is. I know that if we do this I'll be whole and my life will be yours even if I'm forced into marrying Chris this is mine and I can choose who I want to make love with and I want it to be you." Evy said crying.

Rick held her close and began to rock her side to side again. She rested her head again wondering how Rick was going to take her truth. Soon he stopped swaying and lifted her head face to his, he lowered his lips and started to kiss her passionately, his mouth invading hers, his tongue moving with hers as they started a kiss they had never had before.

Soon Rick pulled the robe off of Evy's form and rested his hands on her waist.

"You're sure about this?" he asked before he continued. She nodded in response and pulled him close again.

Rick began to lift her nightgown over her form and threw it to the side as Evy began to unbutton his pants. His lips moved from her mouth to her neck as Evy moved her head to the side to allow him better access and moaned.

"Rick, I love you." She said as his lips moved back up to her mouth and he pulled her body close to his, their chests touching.

"I love you, too." He said as he pushed her towards the bed behind them. "now you are sure about this?" he asked before he continued.

"more than anything in my life." She said as he lowered his head to her lips.

The next morning when Evy woke up she found herself alone in her bed. Figuring Rick left before anyone else got up and started to ask questions, she just lay in her bed thinking about the night before. Had she just given up her soul to Rick? Had she just slept with a man she'd known for not even a month?

'yes I did,' she thought, 'and I'm proud, I love him.' Evy sat up and ran her hand over the place her Rick had once been. As she was day dreaming, her hand came across and small piece of paper.

In Rick's hand writing it read,

You're mine forever and no matter what happens I will always love you. Thank you for such a wonderful night, maybe next time I can actually be there when you wake up.

P.S. I hope you like the ring.

Evy held the letter close and smiled to herself, then looked on the nightstand to see a silver ring with one diamond in the middle and two rubies on each side.

She reached over and slid the ring on her finger, then got out of bed. She made her way over to the bathroom and took a shower. Once she got out she got dressed and then walked downstairs where Rick, Jonathan and the rest of the family were talking about the wedding. She had one more day to come up with a way out, one more day before, if everything went wrong, she was forced to marry a man she didn't want.

As she passed Rick, he gave her a slight smile and took a glance down at her finger where her lovely engagement ring resided, hoping nobody would notice it.
