Hey everybody, I can squeeze in one chapter before finals tomorrow and so, here it is.
By the way tonight was the screen actor's guild awards, and Rachel Weisz was nominated against Michelle Williams, Catherine keener, Amy Adams, and Frances McDormand…and unfortunately I have some bad news….for the other actors, that's right Rachel Weisz won! That's the second win for her in this month way to go, next stop the Oscars.
At the moment Rick, Evy, Jonathan, Daniel and Chris were in the judges quarters talking over the situation at hand, he had post-poned the wedding until everything was settled over.
"What us this all about?" Daniel asked Evy once they were inside. "Well?" hew asked after a long silence.
"I love Rick." Evy bravely spoke up, scared of what her uncle might do now that they were out of the safety of the family's view. "I don't want to marry Chris, you might as well have me marry Jonathan," she said pointing over to Jonathan who sat in a chair looking at her oddly. "Because that's all Chris is to me, a brother I don't have to watch over everyday."
"And what makes this man so special to you?" Daniel spat.
"Rick is different, he makes me feel safe, he makes my heart skip a beat whenever I'm with him." She said walking over to him and rested her back against his chest as his arm wrapped around her waist.
"So you love him. Is that it?"
"Yes, of course I do."
"Well love is not something that you feel for a stranger, love grows with time." Daniel said getting upset and began to pace back and forth holding his hands to his head yelling.
"I have spent a lot of time with Rick, and I've come to love everything there is to him." Evy said near tears at how her uncle could not accept her love for this man. Rick just pulled her close and held on to her as she cried.
"Maybe it's just best if I let you go." Chris offered seeing how close the two were to each other.
"ARE YOU ALL CRAZY!" Daniel yelled to everyone in the room. "You two have been engaged since you were 8!" Daniel said to Evy and Chris. "And now the wedding between you two is going to happen. Then I never want to hear about that American again!"
Rick moved forward and started to speak, "she's your niece and you're still going to make her marry the man she doesn't want?" Rick asked sticking up for her.
"You have no voice here!" Daniel yelled at him.
Rick moved toward him, but was stopped by Evy, "Rick, no, please. Just let it pass."
"Evy, I'm not about to let you go, I love you more than life itself." Rick said confused at how easy she was willing to give up.
"I know, but he's not going to give in, maybe we should just forget about this, he's right, I've known since I was a little girl that I was to marry Chris." Rick was confused at what had just come out of her mouth; did she really not love him? Was she really willing to marry Chris instead of him? Rick looked at her shocked.
"The only thing is, Chris, are you willing to father Rick's child?" Evy asked holding her stomach and looking at him.
"WHAT!" everyone yelled making Evy jump at the sudden loudness.
"Are you serious?" Daniel yelled moving towards her and making her walk back towards Rick. "Did you give your soul to this man? Did you give something so precious, something reserved only for your wedding night, to this American?" Daniel said to her face.
Evy nodded her head sacredly as she could see his eyes moving back and forth, something that only happened when he was mad, the last time she'd seen him do that she'd ran away from home hoping to find her parents, refusing to admit they died. Once he caught up with her he had brought her home, gave her the same look then spanked her, her first spanking and it would always stay in her head.
"I don't want another man's child." Chris said looking over to Evy and smiling, he had caught on to her trick.
"I DON'T CARE!" Daniel yelled looking over to Chris. "You two are going to get married today and that's it." Daniel yelled then opened the door and called out "Fred, Robert, Marcus, Kevin!" he yelled over to her four male cousins, the first two were his and the other two were Greg's. "I want you boys to keep an eye on Rick and Jonathan; I don't want either of them ruining this wedding."
Fred, Robert, Marcus, Kevin nodded then walked into the chapel to wait for them. Daniel left the room and followed them.
"I love you, Rick." Evy said then kissed him, she turned crying and followed Chris out of the room. Before she got out Rick pulled her back and kissed her passionately, "are you really pregnant?" he asked.
"no, I just thought that would let us out." She answered then continued out of the room, Rick and Jonathan following.
Once they reached the main chapel Chris got an idea. "Evy, you see over there?" he asked pointing to door on the other side. "if you can get past the family, your free to leave."
"how do we get out?" Rick asked liking the idea.
"I'll stall the family and you make a run for it."
Rick, Evy and Jonathan nodded than waited for the signal from Chris to go ahead and leave.
"I don't know Rick, what if he comes after me?" Evy asked crying.
"I won't let him hurt you." Rick said and held her close.
