He's done many things to bring any given victim a sense of closure…a sense of justice. But lately, he's been keeping a closer eye on himself than he had been before. And it's because he doesn't want to come any closer to slipping than he already has.
Twelve years. That's how long he's been here as a member of the Special Victims Unit. And for twelve years, he's been working to get the sickest criminals in New York City off of the streets.
He wonders as he contemplates this if there will come a day when he'll finally take it all too far.
