Alright, I currently have no idea what anyone think of my story because while when I log in it says I have no reviews, other sources tell me I do, and if I really do, I can't currently read them… Anyway, here is the next chapter.

A Series of Events… Chapter 2: A Trip to Misty's…

~~~
And the events continue…
~~~

After finally finding out the whereabouts of the bird Pokemon, Ash and Pikachu hopped on Pidgeot's back. Ash patted Pidgeot on the head. "How's it going, Pidgeot?" The bird called out it's response in it's Pokemon language. Ash, judging by Pidgeot's tone and smile, took this as a 'I'm fine'. Ash then smiled. "Alright, old buddy… Could you take us over to Cerulean City?"

"Pidgeot!" the bird then began to flap it's wings, slowly rising off the ground. Within a few seconds, Pidgeot was taking it's passengers to their destination. Ash, not having flown on the back of a Pokemon in a while, was taken aback a bit at how high they were flying.

"Wow…" Ash began, once again brushing his bangs out of his eyes. "We sure are high up, aren't we, Pikachu…"

Pikachu looked down and blinked. "Pika…"

Pidgeot began to fly much faster, making Ash a bit nervous. "Isn't this a bit fast, Pidgeot?" The bird shook it's head. Looks like Pidgeot's judgment was accurate. Within an hour, they reached Cerulean City. Ash and Pikachu hopped off of Pidgeot's back. Ash patted it on the head again. "Thanks, Pidgeot… Go take a break, and come back to pick us up within 2 hours, okay?" Pidgeot nodded and flew off. Ash turned to Pikachu. "…Pikachu?"

The mouse's ears perked up. "Pi Pikapi?"

"Go ahead to meet Misty… I'll catch up to you later…"

"Pika?" Pikachu began, but then obeyed his master and best friend and ran off to the Gym.

Ash then checked his belt. "Hmm… These Pokemon should do… Now I just need some Poke Balls and a Super Rod…"

"Did you say Super Rod?…" an old man's voice behind Ash began. "I just might be able to help you out, young man…"

"Eh?" a confused Ash turned around to see who was talking to him. Sitting behind him was an old fisherman. "Really?"

"Yes… If, you can do me a favor…"

"Um… it doesn't involve stripping down to my underwear, slathering myself in sweets, and running from a Snorlax, does it?…"

"What?!" the old man sputtered out, shocked.

"You see, a few years ago, I had to do that in order to get a Pokeflute…"

"Um, no… Nothing like that… You see, I lost my glasses in the water…" the old man pointed to the lake behind him "If it wouldn't be any trouble, could you find them for me?"

"Sure! I'd do it even if I wasn't getting anything out of it!" Ash smiled.

"Good, good…" the fisherman looked in a trunk next to him. "In that case, I'll lend you this here scuba gear--" the old man heard a splash. He looked toward the lake. Ash had set most of his clothes except his boxers on the ground, including his belt of Poke Balls, and was now swimming in the lake. "Oh my… I didn't get the chance to tell him that there was a Wild Gyyrados in this lake…"

Ash swam in the lake, under the water, looking for the lost glasses of the old man. He looked up, down, left, and right… He could NOT find the glasses at all. Ash was unaware that a dangerous Pokemon was heading towards him… Ash, flustered, came up for air. He yelled over to the elderly fisherman. "HEY! Mister!! I can't find your glasses anywhere!!"

The old man gulped, then yelled out to Ash. "Young man! There are no glasses! But there is an angry Gyarados on your tail! Hurry and get out of the water!"

Ash's eyes widened. "What?!" he looked back to see a Gyarados glaring at him. "…Crap…" Ash began to swim as fast as he could, but the Gyarados was too fast for him. The water dragon opened his mouth wide and…

~~~
Ash, now fully clothed, rubbed his 'bottom' area. He glared at the old fisherman, who was currently forcing back laughter. "Don't…say… a word… And what was the deal with sending me after glasses in a lake with a Gyarados and no glasses?!"
"I'm sorry, young man…" the fisherman began. "But it was a test…"
"A test?… A TEST?! I was bitten in the ASS, old man!!! I'll be surprised if I don't need therapy after this!"
The old man coughed. "T'was your own fault… No one told you to just jump in the lake… I would have warned you, you know… The way it was supposed to go was, that after I offered you the scuba gear, I was to tell you about the Gyarados… If you refused to go in, you would lose your chance to get the Super Rod… If you still insisted on helping an old man get his glasses back, you would be deemed worthy of inheriting my Super Rod… And you passed, young man…"
"…and another thing!!" Ash began. He then stopped. "Wait, what did you say?"
"Here it is…" the old fisherman said, handing the rod to Ash. "I am getting old, and won't be able to fish in a few years… I wanted to give it to a young man with a good heart… So here you go…"
Ash blinked, then took the rod from the old man. "Thank you…"
The old man stood up. "Well young man, I have to get going…" He began to walk off.
"Wait!" Ash yelled. "What's your name?"
The old man turned around. "My name?… Charlie!" The old man then continued on his way.
~~~

Meanwhile, Pikachu made it to the Cerulean Gym. He tilted his head, confused. "Pi Pika Pika Pikachu?… (How the hell do I get in?…)" The electric mouse thought for a moment, then smiled. It's tail began to glow, and Pikachu used a low powered Iron Tail on the door.

Misty, cleaning up the Gym a bit for Ash's visit, heard the door 'slam' loudly. "Ack! He's here already!" Misty ran towards the door and opened it. "Hi, A--" Misty blinked rapidly several times. No one was there. "...the hell?" Misty frowned and yelled. "Ash, if this one of your childish jokes, quit it!"

"Pika…"

Misty looked down. Standing there was Pikachu. Misty smiled in glee. "Oh hello, Pikachu! You're still such a cutie!" She picked the mouse up and tightly hugged it, her now much bigger breasts squishing against him. Pikachu blushed. Misty let go and held Pikachu in front of her. "Hey, wait a minute… Where's Ash?…"

~~~
The young man in question was currently fishing at another water source, standing up due to the injury to his 'natural seat cushions'. "Curse that crazy Charlie… I'm not going to be able to sit for weeks…" Why was Ash fishing, you ask? Well as most people know, Misty has a bit of an obsession for Tentacool and Tentacruel… "Cute, she says… But oh well, it's what she wants…" Ash had bought several different types of Poke Balls for this occasion. "Now if only the damn things would bite…" Ash growled. Suddenly, there was a tug at the line. "Hey, I think I got something!" Ash pulled. "It sure it heavy, though…" Ash finally got it out of the water and pulled out an old trunk. "Whoa, what the?!--" Ash unhooked it. "Eh, I'll check it out when I get to the gym…" Ash went back to fishing for Tentacool and Tentacruel.
After a while, he finally got a bite. "Aha ha! Here we go!" He hooked a Tentacruel. "Alright, here we go!" Ash grabbed an Ultra Ball and tossed it at Tentacruel. The Tentacruel was in a the Ultra Ball for 3 'shakes', then broke out. "Aww… Almost…" He then reached for a Poke Ball with one of his Pokemon in it. "Time to fight it head on, then… Treecko, go!"
The Pokemon came out of it's containment device and smirked, twig in it's mouth and arms crossed. "Treecko ko…"
"Tentacruel…" the jelly fish-like Pokemon shot it's tentacles towards Treecko.
"Treecko!" Ash yelled. "Jump in the air!" The plant Pokemon did so, getting nice air time. "Now, use Pound!" Treecko fell back down, tail ready to hit the Pokemon with it's tail. It got quite a bit of speed and hit Tentacruel right in the top of the head. It was dazed, and began to sink below the water. "Oh no you don't!" Ash yelled, grabbing a Great Ball. He tossed it at Tentacruel, and the Poke Ball zapped the Pokemon into it. The ball floated and tilted in the water. Finally, the glowing button stopped glowing and the ball stopped tilting, signaling that he had caught the Pokemon. Ash smiled. "Yes! I caught it! Thanks, Treecko!" Ash then recalled the plant-like Pokemon and ran into the water. He picked up the Poke Ball and smiled. "Now to catch Tentacool…"
~~~

Back at the Cerulean Gym, Misty was still straightening a few things out, and Pikachu was in the kitchen, eating Ketchup. It smiled contently. "Pika…"

Misty stood up off the ground. She had gotten her dress a little dusty in cleaning up, but nothing a little brushing off couldn't do. Suddenly, the door knocked. She walked over to the door. "Coming!" She opened the door. Standing there was a soaking wet Ash, holding a bouquet of roses and smiling sheepishly. "Um, hey Misty… Happy Birthday…"

Misty smiled a big smile and hugged Ash. "Oh Ash, you remembered!"

The young man blushed. "Yeah, how could I forget?"

"My birthday isn't for 2 days, though…"

"Yeah, but I was on my way here so I said to myself, 'Why not surprise you?'… So, here!" Ash handed Misty the flowers. "Also, I caught these for you… Tentacool and Tentcruel…"

Misty gave Ash a bit of a sad look.

Ash blinked. "Misty? What's wrong?"

"Well you see…" Misty coughed. "Thank you and all, but I caught them a year ago…"

Ash looked down. "Oh… So I did all that for--"

Misty smiled sadly. "Yeah, sorry…"

Ash scratched his head, embarrassed. "I mean, I knew how much you wanted them, talking about how cute they were and stuff…"

Misty smiled suggestively at Ash. "Yeah, but… There's someone cuter right here…"

Ash raised an eyebrow. "Who? Pikachu?"

Misty growled. "No, you idiot! You!"

Ash blinked, confused. "Me?"

"Of course…" Misty sighed.

"Wow, thanks Misty…" Ash blushed.

"But that hair HAS to be cut…" Misty began, pointing at Ash's bangs completely covering his eyes.

Ash brushed his bangs out of his eyes. "Uh… heh heh…" He began to back away.

Misty frowned and crossed her arms. "Get over here…"

~~~
After about 45 minutes, Ash looked in the mirror at his new haircut. It had been cut so that his hair only went down his neck, and his many bangs of hair were gelled into 2 on both sides of his face. "Hey, this is pretty cool, Misty! You ever think about going into the hair styling business" He joked.
Misty laughed. "No, not really… So, how have you been?…"
"I'm fine… Got bit in the ass by a Gyarados trying to get you those Tentacool and Tentacruel, but fine…"
"Oh, Ash… I didn't think you went through that much trouble to get them… In that case I'll keep them… As special gifts…"
"You don't have to--"
"Well you didn't have to risk your life to get them for me…"
There was a bit of awkward silence for a moment, before Ash spoke up. "Misty, do you want to go back to Pallet with me? Mom would love to see you again!"
Misty smiled. "Of course…"
"Where's Pikachu?"
"Oh, he's in the kitchen eating Ketchup… Again…"
"Aw… Pikachu! Let's go!"
The electric mouse then ran into the main part of the gym. "Pika?"
Ash leaned down to Pikachu. "Pikachu, it's time to go…"
Pikachu looked down to ground, faking sadness. "Piiiikaaa…"
Ash sighed. "Fine, you can take a few more packets for the trip home…"
Pikachu instantly brightened up and ran into the kitchen. A few seconds later, Pikachu came back in with a tiny bag full of Ketchup packets. "Pika! (Ready!)"
Ash sweat dropped. "That's not what I meant by a few…" He sighed. "Oh forget it… Let's go, everyone!"
~~~

Once back in Pallet, Ash, Misty and Pikachu walked up to Ash's house. He knocked on the door.

Misty raised an eyebrow. "Why are you knocking on your own door? Don't you have a key?"

Ash coughed. "Um, I sorta lost it… Heh…"

Misty sighed. "Typical…"

"Pika…"

The door opened and the three were met by Brock. "Yo, Ash and Pikachu… Oh hey, Misty! Ash, your mom woke up, but…"

"She woke up?! That's great!" Ash pushed past Brock and ran into the house.

"Ash, wait! She's--"

Ash ran up stairs to his mother's room. "Hey Mom! Misty's here!"

Delia, in her bed, blinked. "That's nice, but who's Misty?"

"Heh heh… Mom, stop joking around… Are you alright?"

"Um, I have a headache, but I'm fine… But I'm not joking around… In fact, who are you?"

Ash's eyes widened. "Mom… No…"

And the events roll on…
