Chime the Dragon……..
(This is told sort of from chimes point of view - my first time experimenting with this, so please don't mutilate it too bad)
What's with these Tharians? I didn't exactly know, all I knew was that the girl with the flaming, curly hair, loved me, and that's all I could have asked for at the moment. Well, that and a few lovable licks from Little Bear, the dog thing that Tris seemed to be so fond of, I liked him too, but I couldn't seem to figure out what the dogs purpose was.
Kethlun Warder is a scary person, though Tris seems to like him okay, even after he tried to kill me with tongs. But okay, as long as she keeps striking him with lightening I'm okay, in fact I think its kind of funny watching his hair get all frizzy when Tris shocks him, he he. Any way, what I was getting at was my story, I wanted to add some of my personal insight into the whole menagerie, starting with the day that the Arurimi came and took Kethlun and Tris away.
Tris was being mean to me that day, she said I was bad because I kept breaking things and eating things- which I really don't get, because that's what I do- that didn't belong to me. So she took me downstairs and tied me to a chair leg, and put some food under the table for me, then she went back upstairs and left me alone with Little Bear. Little Bear is an okay dog, I mean he's lovable and everything but he can get a little over excited sometimes and the moment Tris was gone he decided he wanted to play it, guess who was it…. ME. There were a few minutes of confusion, when Little Bear barked and reared back onto his hind legs, then as if pulled by some invisible force he jerked forward and chased me under the table, obviously Tris hadn't been to thorough in her thinking, as she thought that Little bear wouldn't be able to get under the table, but he was.
I flew around the table leg until there was no ribbon left and the chair was pulled taught against the table, then I crammed myself into the corner. Little Bear yipped for a minute then quit and took it upon himself to eat my food, or what he could take of it before gagging and nearly throwing up, then he sat back on his hind legs and watched me. Stupid dog, he should be on a leash permanently, I'm too fragile to be played with like a chew toy, I'm made of glass! By now I was thoroughly seething, and I spat glass fire at the dumb mutt who just shifted to the other side and let them fall to the ground, like they were nothing, resigned I stayed in my shelter and watched the dog watching me. After a while it became a game, we stared at each other and every time Little Bear looked away, I spat flames at him and he'd bark when they hit him and wag his tail.
Then as if in a bad dream, I heard it, the voice I hated more than anything in the world, and I screamed as loud as I could. After a few minutes I heard Tris run down the stairs her arms outstretched in front of her, and Little Bear went into hysterics, growling and barking like a mad hyena. Tris untied the ribbon and gathered me into her arms, trying to soothe me as she did, but it was no use I still heard the voice and I continued to scream.
After a few minutes, the terror behind my anguish came into the room and I threw myself at him spitting needles into the face that I hated more than anything in the world. Cool, I can spit needles, and I didn't even know it. He yelped and the next thing I knew Tris had me locked in a lightening cage, that made my glass tingle and was holding me in her hand. Now I'm being punished for defending myself, but oh well, you better think before you come at me with a pair of tongs the next time. Or you'll regret it pretty quick…….
(it sux I know it, be kind, don't hate it too much)
