The Coronach, meaning 'wailing together' is a Celtic form found in both Ancient Ireland and Scotland. It is essentially a funeral song or dirge specifically a 'woman's lament' screeched by Celtic women. This form utilizes quatrains with 7 syllable lines. The rhyme scheme can be abcb defe or abab cdcd etc.
