GONE
OK! i know i haven't updated any storys, but i can't seem to work on them, i'm at a standstill. so, sorry, i'll try and get like "Rainy Nights" updated, and Fox magic, and mabye, if people READ it, "Lost in the Labryith" (or soemthing like that, i forget at the moment the exact title) so, i saw a picture on theotaku . com and was like "OMG i have to write a story thing for that!" so i came up with this little thing. one shot.
Bright threads of golden warmth sparkled across dark hair and crimson locks. "Why?" a faint voice, a whisper to the winds, asked. Strong, almost feminine arms held tight around the hard, lean torso of the cold man of fire in front of him. They tightened momentarily, almost a hug, before the whisper was repeated.
"Don't ask me that, anything but that." The man replied, his voice as quiet as the others. His hands clenched for a moment, eyes closing briefly. "I just can't" he said at last.
Lifeless emerald stones stared, unblinking, at a small patch of ground, but he did not see it. He felt nothing in those few minutes that crept by like years. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity he spoke. Like a hollow reed, his voice danced in the wind, making a soft, almost musical sound, but was so soft you had to listen to its song carefully. "I deserve to know why you're leaving."
Stones of ruby shot open. "Because I have to. I can't stay…here…with you…"
This time the green gems closed. "It meant nothing then…" he whispered to himself, but silent ears heard him.
"It meant everything fox." Was his reply. This time the gems of emerald opened wide.
"You…" he breathed, daring not to believe it.
"I do…" he barely was able to pick up the answer to his unsaid question.
A few tears fell and he silently cursed himself for not keeping a better hold on them. "Then why?" he demanded, his voice calm, even, but showing signs of worry.
"Because I must, I can't stay, you know that." Was the emotionless reply he received.
Arms fell limply, releasing the black haired man. " Then go." Came the red heads cold reply. He was tired of the game of emotional chess they had played. "If you will not stay, then go, never come back…"
A black shadow mirrored the dark mans movements as he stood and walked to the door. A small, strong hand paused above the handle. "I might return…" he mused out loud.
"Don't bother." Came a trembled voice. "If you are not willing to stay now, then why bother returning, Hiei?" the tone of cold, bitter distrust sent chills down the black haired mans back.
"Then good bye, my love, my life, my Kurama." The door opened and he was gone.
and thats it! R&R
