When Rory woke up the next morning she felt to happy, she couldn't wait to tell her mother what happened last night. She ran into the kitchen, and saw Lorelai making coffee, "Mom something amazing happened last night with Dean!" Rory said with happiness in her voice. "What?" Lorelai asked. "Dean and I had this romantic evening, we had a picnic under the stars, and it was so magical!" Rory said. "Well than I am happy for you, and just wondering umm did you want a poptart or would you like to go to Luke's?" Lorelai asked while pouring coffee. "Um lets go to Luke's." Rory said getting coffee, too.
"So tell me more about the magical evening of Rory Gilmore." Lorelai said walking into the diner. "There were candles and everything, I was so happy!" Rory said with a grin on her face. "Okay, what would you like today?" Luke asked waiting with his notepad out and a pencil in his hand." Um we'll have the pancakes with lots of bacon, please." Lorelai said. "You look really happy." Lorelai said. "Because I am really happy!" Rory said. As soon as Rory looked outside she saw Dean holding a ring at her. "What?" said Rory looking shocked. "What does that guy think he is doing?" Lorelai said. Rory ran outside with a smile on her face. "This was the surprise!" Dean said having his arms wide open for Rory to jump into. "What?" Rory said. "I wanted to surprise you with an engagement ring, remember when I yelled, 'I want to marry this girl!' well, i really meant it!" Dean said with excitement. "Dean she is not ready to get married, she is still in high school!" Lorelai said while walking out the door of Luke's. "Well i love her and tis is how I want to express it!" Dean said not caring what Lorelai thought. "Dean I don't know what to say?" Rory said. "Say yes!" Dean said. "Say no!" said Lorelai. Then, when they both said it the bus came for Rory to go to school. She kissed them both and ran to the bus without a decision to both of them.
Sfter school she tried to avoid both of them, but she knew she couldn't. She couldn't go to the inn, and she couldn't go to the market. So she decided to just go to Luke's. When she walked in the door she saw Jesse with the coffee. she walked in sat at their regular table and read for the rest of the day. She didn't want to go home. She decided that she was going to go home and then go straight to her room and she is going to try to avoid saying or hearing anything from her mother. She wasn't in the mood to hear about how she can't except the proposal. She loved Dean, she didn't fell ready but she knew he was.
When she got home, her mother wasn't there. She walked around the entire house thinking that she was somewhere, but she wasn't. She heard the answering machine and all of the messages were from Dean, but none from her mother. She was worried she was surprised that she wasn't home at such a late hour. She called Dean.
"Hello?"
"Dean it is Rory."
"Did you want to except the proposal?" Dean asked her.
"I don't know, this is really tough." Said Rory
"I know it is but we love eachother and I knew we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives." Dean said while wanting Rory to say yes.
"You know what Dean, count me in!" Rory said as excited as ever.
"Are you serious?" Asked Dean.
"Yes, I am!" Rory said.
And then Rory heard her mother walk in the door.
