Emerald Eyes

Several peaceful days pass by

As I look in your emerald eyes

I see world peace and happiness there

I can escape my worst nightmares

Shiny, green, and full of life

Why must you always close them at night?

But then I remember the wind blows cold

And times of happiness soon grow old

But those eyes: the world should be in there

Protected by your messy hair

So nobody would ever die

And nobody would ever cry

And several days could just slip by

As I see your emerald eyes

Bringing thoughts that have nothing to do

With the world around me and you

And it could always be us two

We'd do whatever we want to do

And you and me, and me and you

We'd stick together just like glue

Green would be the only color that I knew

If I could always be with you

We'd laugh all day until the night

We'd never, ever, ever fight

And several peaceful days pass by

As I stare in your emerald eyes
