Joker winced as Kurei slammed him against the wall, one hand wrapped around Joker's throat, the other at his hip.
"What are you doing here?" Kurei growled. "When I agreed to let you address me as an equal, it was not an invitation to break into my bedroom."
Joker lifted one hand to tug at Kurei's fingers around his neck. Kurei loosened his grip. Joker took a breath. "You know, some people are celebrating Christmas right now."
"What's your point?" he asked. If Joker couldn't see Kurei's glare through the mask, he could hear it in his voice.
But Joker knew Kurei was really interested. He knew he intrigued the other man. He grinned. "I just thought I'd come by and give you a little gift."
The grin was erased swiftly as the hand around his throat tightened. Joker turned his head to the side in an attempt to relieve the pressure. The hand at his waist disappeared. Joker heard Kurei remove his mask and throw it onto the bed. He leaned in closer. Joker could feel Kurei's breath on his ear as he said coldly, "Don't play games with me, Joker."
Kurei's hand left his throat. Joker breathed in sharply. This was his chance.
Joker leapt forward and grabbed Kurei's wrists. Kurei tried to twist away, and Joker ended up tackling him. Oops, he'd messed up. The momentum carried them to the center of the room, where Joker stumbled, and Kurei easily freed one wrist from Joker's grasp. The other came free after Kurei delivered a blow to Joker's stomach. Joker doubled over, and Kurei grabbed a fistful of the other man's hair with the freed hand and jerked Joker's head painfully up.
"What do you think you're doing?" Kurei hissed dangerously.
Joker knew he intrigued the other man. It was all very well, as he was intrigued by Kurei, too. He was intrigued by the way he moved, the way he talked, the way he fought. He was intrigued by the man's eyes, his scar, his face, his body, his lips.
"Giving you a present," Joker reminded him.
In one deft motion, Joker pulled Kurei to him with a hand behind the neck and another around the waist, kicked his legs out from under him, and captured his lips with his own.
They fell to the ground. Kurei released his grip on Joker's hair to break his fall. He didn't bother wondering how his other arm had ended up wrapped around Joker's waist. He just knew Joker's tongue was dancing in his mouth and Joker's hand was sliding over his back.
Finally, Joker pulled back. He pointed one hand up at the ceiling and breathlessly said, "Merry Christmas."
Kurei looked up for just long enough to see the mistletoe above him before Joker's lips claimed his again. He did not object.
