A/n: Since a few of you asked for it, here's the sequel to 'Aniki' - what happened to Krad. It kind of takes off; I skipped the fight scene.

Satoshi

/Krad/

On a gloomy, winter morning, Satoshi Hikari found himself to be impatient. He wasn't sure why; he certainly wasn't waiting for anything; even if he had been, it wouldn't have been at 5 o' clock in the morning. The sun hadn't even risen yet.

Krad. That had to be it; the demon was probably waiting for something. But what? You've been silent this morning. He commented to his other half. Though he didn't like to start conversations with the entity, he felt it appropriate. He really had to know why he felt like this

/Yes Master Satoshi/

What the hell are you waiting for?

/Why, nothing/

Then what the hell am I waiting for?

/I shouldn't know that, dear Master/

Damnit, can't you ever be useful?

/Perhaps you are waiting for me to die/ The words rattled Satoshi's soul. He hated the ice demon, yet was reluctant to let him go. He couldn't imagine being so empty, without the sadistic creature in his head.

What? Why would you die?

/Nothing, my love, is free/

What the hell are you talking about? And uh, never call me that again

/Of course, my love/

Krad!

/You called/

Does this have to do with the damned kaitou?

/Hai, it does/

Well, then, how?

/He is dead/ Satoshi stopped his pacing, his face pale. "Daisuke….." He closed his eyes. It was if the demon understood the boy's pain – he really did love him, it was not a matter of hate or abuse. He would do anything for his Master.

/I'll always be with you/

Will it be painful for you?

/Likely. So I will say goodbye now, and block off all of our connection/ The words that left Satoshi's mouth next surprised even him.

"Don't go"

/I'll always be with you/ He said once more, and then after a scream – yes, a scream – off agony, he was gone.

Satoshi would never be the same.
