You Have A What In Your Basement?

What does Sam do with the stargate in her basement?

Sam and Jack Established Relationship

"Hey, Sam!"

She turned to see her husband coming up the stairs. "Yes, Jack?"

"What are we going to do about the stargate in the basement?"

Daniel and Teal'c, who were in the living room, turned.

"The what in your basement?" Daniel asked.

"Stargate." She replied, as if nothing was out of the ordinary. "I don't know, Jack. Do you have any ideas?"

"Movie screen?"

She just looked at him.

"What? Keep in mind, Hallowed Fountain of Wisdom, you asked me. And I've been asking for a movie screen since I moved in."

She shook her head as she chuckled. "How about you guys?"

"Are not boards that collect pointed objects circular?" Teal'c asked.

"A giant dart board?" Jack asked, his eyes getting a mischievous gleam.

"With a system lord of the week!" Daniel added.

Sam groaned. The movie screen was sounding more and more appealing. "Any other ideas?"

"Wheel of Fortune Wheel?' Daniel suggested.

Everyone else groaned.

"Just because you're obsessed with Vanna White." Sam muttered.

"Swimming pool?" Jack asked.

The group chuckled as the event horizon of the wormhole did look like water.

"Merry-go-round?" Daniel added.

"A trampoline?" Teal'c asked.

"Okay, you guys, are you hinting at something?" Sam asked, almost blushing.

Teal'c raised an eyebrow. "I do not understand. Would not the dysfunctional stargate make an excellent child's plaything?"

Jack just glanced at Sam, who continued to blush. Daniel caught the exchange. "You guys, uh…have some news?'

Sam turned five shades of red as Jack walked over and put his arm around her waist. "Uh, actually…yeah. Sam's pregnant."

Teal'c and Daniel started beaming. "Congrats, guys!" Daniel said as he hugged Sam.

"Indeed." Teal'c replied as he also hugged Sam and then turned to shake Jack's hand.

"Anyway," Sam said, trying to divert the attention from herself, "the stargate will not become a toy." She looked at her husband, who decided to study the carpet and then the socks that he was wearing. They were 'slipper socks' (Sam refused to let anyone go barefoot in the house) with Homer Simpson on them. If it hadn't been something that Sam had given him, he would never have been caught dead with the atrocious things on his feet. She somehow thought that they were 'cute.'

"So, we're down to a movie screen and a dart-board." Daniel said.

"I was thinking of taking it to the SGC and studying it there. After all it was made out of my toaster…and a few other…household items."

Jack laughed. They were still paying off that credit card bill.

"It'd be taken to Area 51 faster than you could say 'cool,'" Daniel reminded her.

"So it stays." Jack said.

"All right…movie screen it is." She said.

Jack just grinned; Daniel and Teal'c just looked at him.

"When are you getting your projector?"

"He already has one." Sam replied.

"Anybody up for Star Wars?" Jack asked, his grin expanding.

"Let me guess, you put the couch in front of the stargate, didn't you?"

"And I put the projector up." Jack said, grinning proudly.

"You set me up!" She said, laughing.

"Yeah, but I did like the dart board idea."

As they went into the basement, Daniel's curiosity got the better of him. "So, Sam…how'd you get a stargate in your basement?'
