Chapter 1
"A New Beginning"
Sakura woke up. The clock read 9:00. She was late for her internship at PhotoShop Revolution. Sakura screamed her head off at Touya, who just happened to forget to wake up her in the morning but just happened to remember to invite Yukito-san for breakfast. She rushed outside and ran for her life to her internship company. She was greeted by her ex-boyfriend, Syaoran. They still remained close friends through their experience with the Clow Cards.
Mrs. Moyoto, the head of PhotoShop Revolution, got mad at Sakura for being late again but gave her another chance. After the long day of work, Sakura decided to go meet up with Tomoyo and Eriol at Tomoyo's mansion. Sakura had promised
Tomoyo to help bake a cake for her mom's birthday. She was assured and glad that she had left Kero at home or so she thought. Eriol also came and helped, thinking that Suppi was nowhere to be found. After making the cake mix, the cake was put in the hot oven. When Sakura came to check on the cake thirty minutes later, she noticed the cake had mysteriously disappeared. Tomoyo said it was okay and that she'll buy another cake at the bakery near here, but Sakura knew there was something suspicious. As she followed the crumbs with Eriol, they found the two guilty beings fighting over the freshly baked cake. Kero and Suppi looked at each other and froze like dolls. It wasn't their first time fighting over food. There was the big fight with the single octopus ball.
Soon after the cake disaster, Sakura left the Daidouji house with Kero held tight in her hand. Out of nowhere, something blew into her face. It was a blue card… something that looked awfully similar to the Clow cards. It read the "Chain Card"… but it couldn't have been a Clow Card because all the Clow cards were transformed intoSakura cards. Sakura let go of Kero and questioned what this card was. A serious look cast over Kero's face and he kept quiet. He didn't speak on the whole way home. At arrival of the Kinomoto house, Sakura waited for the answer. Finally, Kero opened his mouth and spoke. He said that the Chain Card was the first crystal card and that it was made by Clow Reed and locked away in a locked book like the book that first contained the Clow cards. He didn't know much information about this card because they were written in the power of the moon, Yue's symbol. The crystal cards were opposite from the Clow Cards. They were the evil cards that were created to keep the balance between good and evil in this world.
