Chapter 6- Anakin said it, Scarlett said it, and Now Cindy

Morning arrived dull and gray in Retroville. The neon lights on Cindy's clock shone 9:00 am when she slowly arose from her sleep. Her head was rested on Jimmy's chest, with her arm draped over him. She yawned and sat up, rubbing her eyes. The memories of the previous night flooded back into her mind. She softly blinked back the tears forming in her eyes. She glanced down at Jimmy, who was still peacefully asleep.

"Jimmy?" she whispered softly. He stirred slightly, but still stayed asleep. She shook him a little. "Jimmy?"

"Hmm, 5 more minutes mom," he grumbled, turning over onto his side. Cindy giggled. She bent down and kissed him lightly on the lips. His eyes fluttered open, then closed again, savoring her kiss.

"G-morning Cin," he murmured when she pulled away.

"So you are awake," Cindy replied, smiling.

"Mostly," he answered with a yawn.

"We'd better get dressed," Cindy said, sitting up. "My dad's probably going to be home soon."

"Yeah," Jimmy replied, "good idea."

"Too late," an icy voice came from the doorway. Cindy and Jimmy turned to see a red-faced Mr. Vortex at the door of Cindy's room.

"D-dad," Cindy said nervously while reaching for her shirt at the foot of the bed, "y-you're home." She reached her shirt and pulled it over her naked top. Jimmy reached down the side of the bed and grabbed his boxers, slipping them on under the covers.

"What did I tell you last night!" her father screamed. "This boy is doing you no good and you do...do...THIS behind my back with...HIM!" He pointed an accusing finger at Jimmy.

"Dad it's not what you think!" Cindy argued, standing up from her bed.

"Oh no! Because boys and girls in bed never do anything together!" Mr. Vortex spat, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"But Dad! I love him!"

"You don't know what love is!"

"AND YOU DO? BECAUSE YOU AND MOM LOVED EACHOTHER SO GOD DAMMED MUCH! GOD, THIS HOUSE WAS JUST SO FUCKING FULL OF LOVE!"

"I TOLD YOU TO NEVER USE THAT WORD IN FRONT OF ME AGAIN!" MR. Vortex yelled. Before Cindy knew what was going on, she felt her dad's hand connect with her cheek, hard. Jimmy immediately jumped up and ran over to Cindy. The expression on her face was really just shock. Jimmy took her into his arms.

"Get your hands off my daughter!" Mr. Vortex warned.

"Or what?" Jimmy seethed. Mr. Vortex came up and shoved Jimmy hard in the chest. Jimmy fell to the floor.

"JIMMY!" Cindy shrieked. She turned to her dad, her eyes filled with anger. "I hate you!" she hissed, tears burning her eyes.

"Why?" her father asked. "You don't need him anyway." Fire filled Cindy's eyes just as Jimmy came to.

"W-what happened?" he asked.

"Get out of my house boy!" Mr. Vortex growled. Fear struck Jimmy like a bullet to the brain.

"Y-y-yes sir," he stammered, forgetting that his girlfriend was right next to him. Jimmy inched his way to the door, trying to make as little noise as possible. He stole one last glance at Cindy.

"NOW!" Her father screamed. Jimmy bolted out the door and over to his house. "And you," he spat, turning towards Cindy, "we're leaving tomorrow, and you're not to see that Jimmy boy again!"

With that her father walked out of her room and slammed the door, leaving Cindy to bury her head in the pillows and cry.

A/N: Alright, I hope you R & R! And 10,000 bonus points if you can figure out what we mean by the chapter title.
