"Drunken Love"
I'm sorry I wasn't there
For all those many years
That I didn't hold your hand
Through the pain and all the tears
Just give me one more chance
I swear I'll make it right
I don't know what else to do
But to love you day and night
I mumble that I love her
But I know it isn't true
For tomorrow I'll wake up
To find drunken love is all I knew
And when I go downstairs
To see her hurting face
I think back to that night
A night I wish to erase
Her eyes reflected another's
Much to my dismay
The hated eyes of her father
For this, she had to pay
One more swing is all it takes
To hear her wounded cry,
For me to finally leave her
And drink my sorrows good-bye
Just give me one more chance
I swear I'll make it right
Just one more drink
And I'll love you tonight
