Chapter One:
"I'll never leave you..."
He promised me.
It was March Twenty-first, I now know it was the wiccan holiday Ostara. When Kyo came to me.
"Tohru..."
"Yes...?"
"I... I think I love you..."
"Kyo! I-I love you too!"
He'd looked up sharply. I'd smiled at him.
"And Sohma-kun, and Shii-san, and-"
So Kyo turned on his heel to leave. I blinked.
"Kyo, wait!"
"Why?"
"Because... I... love you... I mean, I love Sohma-kun like a brother. And Shigure is like, a good friend. But, Kyo... I LOVE you."
He stopped. He stared at the sky. He turned around. He was smiling like I'd never seen him smile before.
"Tohru. Today is Ostara, of the year of the year of the rabbit. And Tohru..."
He was so close to me I could barely breathe.
"The curse is broken for one day..."
Then he'd kissed me.
It was the greatest mistake of my life. But I LOVE him. And I always will.
