Chapter Two:

"Mama!" a little orange haired child cried, running at Tohru. She turned around, giggled, and bent over to pick it up.

Heaving it onto her shoulder, she said "Hello Juuni!" She smiled.

"Mama, mama!" the little girl cried in distress. "I dun have a daddy!"

Tohru's face fell as she looked at Juuni. "You have Uncle Yuki, and Grandpa Shigure-"

"But who's my daddy!" Juuni cried. Tears began to well in her large blue-colored eyes. Tohru walked with the child into the living room, kneeled down at the table, and set Juuni down on the table in front of her.

"Juuni," Tohru said softly, as gently as she could. "Your daddy's name is Kyo-"

In the doorway, unnoticed, Kyo shifted.

"-and he was a great man. He was smart, and funny, and determined. He was just, beautiful."

"But, where is he?" Juuni sobbed, the tears beginning to slip down her face.

"I don't know, Juuni. He left before you were born. He doesn't even know you exist."

"I do now." Kyo stepped out from the corner. Tohru gasped and Juuni turned around.
